The spam button and other issue

If you are not on the list of people testing the "rate it" button then you won't be able to view that thread. Hence the error message.

Hi folks,

Following the period of downtime on Friday afternoon, we're pleased to be able to introduce a couple of new buttons that we're testing. If you're reading this, it means once they are up and running you'll be able to see and use them - Hurrah!

1) Spam button. As a shortcut, instead of emailing [EMAIL="abuse@moneysavingexpert.com"]abuse@moneysavingexpert.com[/EMAIL], you can now click the button above a thread, to signal you believe that it is 'Spam'. Hopefully it goes without saying but please only click something that you genuinely think to be Spam!

2) Expired button. This appears above thread in the Grab It, Shop but don't drop and Freebies boards. Click it to indicate a deal has now expired, then once enough people have clicked this, threads will move to the relevant 'expired' forum eg. 'Freebies Gone but not forgotten'

When you click, it's likely that nothing will happen straight away. Don't worry though; your click will be logged on our system and once we have enough clicks, action will be taken.

Addendum: Don't panic if you can't see the buttons just yet. It just means we're ironing out teething problems and they'll be with your shortly.

Because until people started posting that they couldn't see the button, I didn't realise that the Spam Button was only available to certain users!
