My old citroen biskit tin is worth, at the most, £400 and I need it to get to work and back (12 mile round trip); the place of work is way out of the way and I work shifts so could not use public transport to get there, do I have a case for keeping the car do you think ?
Apologies for jumping into a thread.

well.....the OR would look at each case on an individual basis...(your working so thats a bonus..the OR would be daft to take a car from you meaning you have less money coming in if you had to finish work because of this) no guarantee but if your transport network is awkward & you have no other means to get to work then you "might" be lucky....cars are a ******* of a thing in bankruptcy at the best of times

So in a worse case scenario and the OR did want my car, would they then offer it back to me to buy?

they could....you'd have to have a family member offer to buy it back NOT you
(IF they said in interview they were interested...then they'll give you chance to make an offer to buy back)
