Cancelling Vodafone contract

Hi,

I have an 18 month vodafone contract which was taken out in March 08, so I have 2 months remaining on it. However, due to financial reasons I need to cancel it. I have two phones on this contract, one that has been running for years without me remembering to cancel it (I didn't care when I had an income) which I cancelled last month by writing to Vodafone, though I am yet to receive confirmation via mail.

My contracts cost the following:

£29.79 per month (18 months, expires end Aug 09)
£25.53 per month (12 months, expired 2007 sometime)

If I were to simply request Vodafone close my account and provide me with a PAC, what would I be charged and how do I go about this? Can I walk into a Vodafone store and do it or do I need to do it via post?

Thanks in advance.

I think you can cancel ur 25.53pounds contract and request for the PAC code without being charge.

As for your 29.79pounds contract, it would be better if you stick to it until Aug. Coz they might ask you to pay penalty charge until the contract is finished. the other option is to lower that price plan until Aug then cancel it.

    Incorrect slightly.

If you are wanting to buy out your contract, a good way to work it out is to take the remaining months and multiply it by the monthly line rental charge then subtract 15% VAT. You then can take off an automatic 25% discount.

Or you could lower the price plan and keep paying until the end of the term. Both require a phone call to CS, so you choose.
