Transfering icon to desktop

silly of me, I always create my own directories when installing anything so I always have things where I can find them again.

downloading it from the pack allows you to install it in Program Files, then everyone using that pc can access it and create their own profile.

The same way everyone else does it I would imagine.

Alternatively, you could try getting it via the Google Pack as kippen suggested.

Essentially, yes. Apparently it's Google's way of avoiding UAC in Vista.
