Perineum massage is used to stretch your lady bits ready for the upcomign birth - you have to kind of hook your fingers in and gently rotate them around and then drag down towards your bum until it starts to sting alittle and hold it. Then you let go, rotate again and stretch down - do it a few times and according to OH 'It gets bigger!'

So if you do these stretches enough when it comes to the birth your lady bits are already used to being stretched so you shouldn't get such a bad 'ring of fire' and could avoid tears

We used Bio Oil cos it helps with skin elasticity

Can't believe I've googled this in work to give you a linky! :p

    Morning ladies :D

Well I'm still hanging on in here but have an appointment at the hospital to talk about induction. In all honesty I'm keen to get things going now as soon as possible as I'm not getting much movement and if I'm honest I'm starting to worry a little.

It wasn't my dream! I'm sleeping too deeply to remember mine.

Right, I now have to make a decision: should I put on the henna?

    I think I should.

Morning! Had a lovely lie in till 8:30 this morning which was fabulous. Just had my crunchy nut cornflakes for breakfast and now slowly getting ready.

OH has made a great start on the nursery- he's stripped the old paper off, done the base coat of white and done most of the gloss. Went and got paint last night and new electrical fittings, so hopefully can get some of that done over the next week or so. I have been banned from lifting so much as a paint brush as he thinks I will mess it up, which is probably harsh but true! I do need to look at borders today though. Not really sure if we need one or not.......

Re the massage I looked on line and found :

""Using gentle but firm pressure, move the thumbs from the base of the vag in ya ( not sure if it would let me put the V word?)up the side walls as if you were making a "U", but remembering to avoid the urethra. ""

OK the U bit totally lost me as my thumbs make a W shape not a U shape. Is it me oo my pregnancy brain ?? I think i'll give it a miss as i shoot them out anyway and the U letter bit would stress me lol

Glam - I'm surprised your work filters let you do it but thank you anyway. lol

Tinks - Mine have slowed down too but then again she can do 4/5 violent kicks at once so thats reassuring , you still getting your 10 movements a day?

Sugar - does the henna help then with bringing it on ?

Gisi - it must be great to have a nursery. We havent the room until we move so shes coming in with us, not that i mind that bit for the first few months but even so id love a nursery.

Morning ladies - no weird dreams here either  I think I sleep too well for dreaming.
ETA - actually, I'm kinda glad I'm not having dreams like THAT!!!

I think I'll pass on the massaging and the EPO up the foof too!

Tink - hope all goes well at the hospital! x
SS - Good luck at the Dr, hope he doesn't add to the soreness, but still gets this little one moving.
Tia - I'm wondering if you'll be on today...I still think this could be the start of things for you!
Suzy - enjoy the hair cut, it could be the last bit on "me" time you get for a while, I hope the flu clears soon too!

Hubby was a star last night - I had managed to hoover the downstairs, wash the dishes and make tea whilst he was at training. He came home and told me he was hoovering the upstairs for me. He did, but he also move around some bits in the bedroom to get the moses basket at the side of the bed :j We're all set now, just need the baby :D
