Still very quiet on here today!
It's back to being really warm and sticky here, but on the brightside I've run all my errands so can stay in the relative cool of the house, plus the washing will dry on the line.
Popped in to Tesco while I was waiting for Mothercare to open (how late is 11am for a baby shop to open? Like mummies have a lie in.....) and picked up some sleep suits and vests in the sale. Got 3 plain sleep suits for £3.75 and 7 short sleeved vests for £2.50. Had loads more for those who know the flavour, just not that much in neutral. Lots of bigger sizes too so maybe worth stocking up a little.
Boots had sold out of Expert wipes in my store, so no luck with the glitch. I might pop down one evening as out of town so easy to just pop into when it's quiet.
SM- he is gorgeous! Love the sleepsuit too!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
morning everyone,
had a lovely day at the christening. friends have said we can borrow their car seat they had for baby. they were gonna sell it on ebay but said we can borrow it and then give it back to them. Yay!!! its the britax one we had decided to buy so fingers crossed it fits fine. they are also giving us their baby bath. !!
went to asda this mornign and bought some bibs and a lovely fleece banket.
going to boots tomorrow cos they are having a baby sale from 1-27 jul. pampers baby wipes are 1/2 price. for the multi packs. so going to get them
could have spend a small fortune on baby things today but i stopped myself. want hubby to be with me when i buy more outfits.
cant remmeber if i mentioned this already so apologies if i have.
we bought some packs of nappies the other day (ciupons just expiring). we got some newborn pampers and some active fit ones in a big box. so as you know they all are numbered so you have size 1,2,3 etc so hubby had gone out for pool (excuse to get a bit drunk) came home from pool woke me up to ask if the numbers meant the age...... y'know 1 month, 2 months etc.... bless he was even with me when i bought them and i showed him i was looking at the weight they fit!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Oh Jillie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
Don't know how u managed to go so long without finding out!!
We won't tell :silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced:
:T thanks Glam. it was kinda nice yesterday to be holding our frineds baby boy and think i'm having one of those. her sister has a baby boy too. he's 16 weeks and sooo cute!! i had a few good cudles but hubby was too scared...
it was a combination of a few things really that made me chabge my mind and find out.. me being worried that something is gonna badly go wrong with the labour and i'll never meet the baby (irrational i know, but dont even know where that has come from. except note to self... Jillie must not google worst case scenarios with chronic hypertension and pre-eclampsia) and hubby really wanting to tell me... some other things too but these were the main ones.Boo - it is amazing isn't it? I only ever feel kicks and big movements on my right hand side so I think my placenta must be on the left and blocks any movements
It's the whole body turn over thing that is freaking me out at the moment - he seems to do it all the time. So I might have a head right up under my right boob and then after an comfy couple of mins it will be a foot - he sure likes churning my insides!
my placenta is on my right side so i very rarely feel anything on that side. do feel baby move around but each time we've been to midwife, baby has been head down. knowing this baby they will prob have moved and will be awkward and face the other way when the time comes.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Jillie- bless your husband, that is so sweet about the nappy sizes. My husband and I have a joke that our baby is going to be pretty big when it's born (which is may well be as we're both tall) but yesterday in Asda he took it too far by saying loudly "These won't fit ours when she's born, they only go up to 20lb"...people were looking at us like we were complete morons! He also keeps reminding me that his Grandad was 15lb when he was born, so I keep reminding him that I, my brother, he and his brothers were all between 7-8lb so I'm not panicking just yet!
