As for the GTT, I arrived at 8.30am (fasted from 10pm night before), had bloods taken and was given a brown medicine bottle of lucozade stuff to drink (don't think it was the real thing but I don't like the stuff so not sure). I had to tell the MW what time I finished it all (perhaps 3 plastic cupfuls) and then sit there for exactly two hours doing nothing (one woman was not allowed to go to the next ward to see her sick aunt!). After the 2 hours they took another lot of blood from the other arm and send me home. My results were through about 5 days later.

Thanks MM. but not nearly as glad as I am. been having weird day dreams that she would suddenly be a boy and I would be down on my hands and knees painting around those damn skirting boards again, lol. Not to mention all the pink stuff having to go back.

I get another 2D scan in 3 weeks to check on her size - something to do with this GT test I think but at the midwife today they measured her at 25cm which is low on the chart for 28 weeks. Didn't say anything though so I'm guessing its not anything to worry about just yet

Thanks ladies - doesn't sound too traumatic does it. Though last time they tried to get blood they collapsed a vein. Wonder if, now that I am much fatter, they will find it easier this time. Don't think I'll bother telling the boss that it's only a couple of hours. I've had enough this week already and they have spent the day re-doing all the work I did on Friday just to pander to someone elses ego so I really felt quite surplus to requirements today. Can't wait til they realise that they have just cost the company quite a lot of money, but hey, I tried to tell them. he he he
