That was me, xmas - 30 years ago! A monster baby! Apparently they had the neonatal ICU people panicking because I was early enough to be a serious viability concern in those days, but I only needed oxygen for the first 24 hours and then only as a precaution.
I've been avoiding sex because I'm so enormous that it's awkward, and I'm not flexible at the best of times. The husband mercifully doesn't seem to mind, he had a tooth out last week and is miserable with the pain.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

SS - will do my best! Although DH has banned any type of nookie now as he thinks he'll break my waters!
Fitz - I have to ring the office in the yard where he's based, so I'm hoping they have some sort of number for the hospital he's working at! Actually, I do know the name of the hospital but god knows what the chances would be of me getting in touch with him myself!
My mum has just phoned to see if I've had any twinges yet - I think she thinks I'm going to go into hospital, have the baby and come home without telling her!
I have to say the closer I get the more I'm thinking epidural! It's like waiting to be hung!
ETA: just found the hospital on the internet so I at least have a number if his work can't get hold of him!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

I can't believe my due date is here, it only seems like yesterday I joined the pregnancy club when I was just 5 weeks pregnant!
I am just going to potter around the house today, and may venture out to the shop later to stock up on soft drinks because of this heatwave thats on it's way in the next few days.

Hi All,
I've not been on for a few days so hopefully I haven't missed much. Labour vibes (and sticky vibes) to all who need themAlso welcome back Evansangel (just spotted you on the list).
I went to a wedding reception on Saturday night in Cambridge (takes about 1hr 30 mins from Norwich) and I was going to get my DH to drive because I have been feeling so tired - 8pm comes and I am usually snoring on the sofa! - but I took pity on him because he is doing so much for me at the moment so I said he could have a few beers and I'll drive. Whilst we were at the reception the groom was saying why shouldn't I drive because there was someone at the reception who was 7 and a half months pregnant and they were driving, and he made another couple of comments like that which to put it politely really peed me off! :mad:Why do we always get compared to other pregnant women! Fine if I had been feeling more awake then I would have no problem - if the reception had been closer to home (the bride and groom live in Norwich and had no real reason to get married in Cambridge so not sure why they decided to go there) it would not be a problem but to drive back at 10:30 at night when I am normally asleep was difficult for me, we ended up getting home at midnight - why do I have to justify myself! It just makes me mad. :mad:Sorry rant over.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Aw hun that's really what I should be calling mine as it was all my dad's name (Joseph Kenneth)but sadly is no longer with us. He was not my biological dad but was the only dad I had since birth so was real to me but means I have a different surname and I really can't bring myself to put it with Johnson0 -
Karen - another east anglian girl - yay! I am kind of in exile now in the furthest westernmost end of the eastern region but still love going back east (I miss the coast!) Norwich is nice, though haven't been there for ages. Mum is in Cambridge and we go there a lot (may even drop the sprog there!)
Oh and ignore ppl - they feel entitled to comment but it's none of their business! We're public property once we're PG. I've just gone for the 'thanks for sharing your informed opinion' line, smile and walk away.MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Sarah Joanne, is that a new EDD?
Would you mind moving saver_ram from the EDD list to the probably given birth list please? I don't want to re-paste the list so soon but I'm enjoying watching my name creep higher and higher, and she's over two weeks past EDD so should be busy with her bubsSorry, SJ, I just realised like I'm asking about your EDD like it's a nice new coat.
Oooh, what a lovely EDD, where did you get it?
Edit: Fitzio, I've been using my bump bands as belts for months. My jeans from Next had a belt but it wasn't comfortable.
Ha ha!! That's quite alright!! And by the way it was a gift from my lovely fiance! :rotfl:0 -
Yeah xmas it was pretty wrong! The thing is, my cycles had been literally all over the place, and my last AF had been on 29th March. In normal circumstances that would have made me 12 weeks, however I would've thought the Dr would have known better and said "well we won't give you a EDD just yet as we have no idea when you OVed, so we'll wait for a scan" but apparently he just thought he'd give us one anyway!!!
Actually works out loads better for us that I'm now 6 weeks and not 13 as we're getting married in September so I'll be big but not massive in the dress that I bought in February ha ha!0 -
Ok so another thing, for the last 2 weeks I've had really bad wind. I don't normally get this much, nowhere even close. I knew lots of pg women get constipated etc but expected that much later on, have I been uder the wrong impression all this time and all of you guys are actually sitting farting at your keyboards as we speak?!?!0
