Plus Net v O2

I've got to change my broadband provider and I've found 2 packages that I'm interested in. One is with Plus Net and the other is with O2.

Which do you think is better in terms of speed, reliability and customer services?

Thank you.

I was with PlusNet for years, then the speed and quality of my connection became a bit patchy. Plus the download limit, if you get with 65% of it they peg you down to 512K and their customer support staff were often confrontational to say the least.

I'm now with O2, my line speed is great as I'm now on ADSL 2+, no download limit, customer support is brilliant and best of all as I have an O2 mobile, I pay £9.79/Month which is half what I used to pay PlusNet.

Only my experience, but for me it's a simple choice.

Check through my current features/cost/comparison document for o2 and their sister company Be. There are 17 different net package costs over the first year!

Depends WHICH o2 service you can get - if o2 Access then there's plenty in its favour but it isn't a slam dunk as their LLU services would be (or Be's very SIMILAR ones depending on your needs/budget/line-length).

Plusnet (owned by BT) are a good choice if you are in an area where you have very very little choice and think they meet your requirements. However, O2 is vastly superior in all areas IME.

O2 may not supply something Plusnet do (line, calls) however so you have to consider that too.

    Depends what you need.

Im currently with PlusNet on the Option2...15gb downlaod limit p/m (£14,95 p/m) an happy with the connection but the download speed is getting worse and worse. Currently downloading an 84mb file and the speed is at 56kbps....taking approx 30 minutes! Very poor imo.

I will definately be signing up for 02, also with them on mobile contract so thats a bonus aswell.:j
