I'm absolutely beside myself - we ordered our Disney Tickets for Orlando at Christmas, so when the postie put an excess postage card through the door we thought it was the tickets....

So, even though it is the time for people to collect their T in the Park fesitval tickets we stood in the queue for 45 minutes only to find it was a Pizza Hut vouvher thing in an envelope, addressed to the Occupier at our address.

We are part of the preferred mailing list to stop us getting spam mail like this.

To say I'm angry is an understatement.

What makes it work than the £1.30 excess fee is the money we paid to get a taxi to the place because it's a bit of a trek from the bus and DD has busted her knee.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Pizza Hut - you stink!!!! We use Pizza Hut regulary, but not any more. To make matters worse, customer service is closed all weekend, so is their central office - says they are busy please try again later - not even on a freephone number!!

I'm not happy - anyone else had this happen, what did Pizza Hut do to compensate you?

The only reason Pizza Hut would send you a mailing is that a previous occupier or yourselves ordered from them in the past. Dominos send me a monthly letter addressed to "Pizza Lover".

I would certainly ask for the refund of the £1.30, taxi fare and......... a free pizza?!

We have ordered from them in the past, obviously we didn't tell them not to send us any spam mail on the back of an order.

I do want the money back fro ym taxi and excess postage, a free pizza might lessen my anger a bit too.

Have calmed down a bit too....

well, just a little - it's down to a simple rant of "they can shove their pizza voucher" instead of having added instructions on where to put it....

    Bzzzt! Wrong answer!

I've been at my present address 10 years, have never ordered from them and always opt out or marketing info etc. A Dominos only came to the area about 5 years ago and yet I still get the occaisional mailshot to 'the occupier' or 'the pizza lover' from them.

Complain to them about the extra costs they've burdened you with. It's amazing how much free pizzas can help console folks ;)

I agree - free pizza would certainly help.

5 hours on I'm down to just a slight fizzing - but will probably start up again when I tell DH when he comes home from work and finds out I went to all that bother not for our Disney tickets, but for Pizza vouchers.

I had a similar thing happen to me with a letter sent by the Yorkshire Building Society about a savings account I had just opened with them. In that case somebody had forgotten to frank the envelope. I complained to them, and they credited my account with £5 to pay for my petrol money and for the excess postage payment. So it's worth getting in touch with Pizza Hut.

Post it back to Pizza Hut - with no stamp on the envelope.

Wouldn't the excess postage card normally have a name on - if the voucher was addressed to the occupier then this shouldn't have had your name on, surely?

that should have given the game away as normally the cards that the postman drop through the box should state who the item is addressed for

that should have been done in case of mutilple occupoants in the property

I think they might send you a voucher as compensation
