Hi, I have some dieting tricks. Have a picture of someone whose body you aspire to ,mines Kelly Brook (it's a dream, everyone needs a dream):rotfl:. I have one in a bikini, befor you eat a snack, look at the picture and think, what would she eat, feel you have that body already. Also when dishing up, give yourself a little less and eat slower think out the taste and texture of the food. Sometime when we eat and do something at the same time , we don,t feel like we have had anything so have more. Last one, with small kids there is always tempting little bites of chips or biscuit, every mouthful counts. Remember WASTE not WAIST. Also a good affirmation to say about 10 -15 times a day 'I choose to be slim and healthy'.
Good luckSew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0 -

Although my younger brother is out of work and on about doing a car boot in a few weeks to raise some pennies, and part of me is really tempted to just give him some bits to sell so there is less junk cluttering up the place. He can keep the pennies if i can have my space back.
Well worth keeping an eye on the meters. I have been doing it since March time, and i have gradually reduced what i have been using. The difference in gas this week has been an eye opener. I've been happy at using only 5 per week, so to only use 2 yet still have done the same amount of cooking is fairly good. I guess combi boilers are good for energy saving. I'm still hopeful that we will get the free solar panel. Haven't heard anything as yet. I know Courgette heard she wasn't suitable so i am seeing that as a good sign for now. Maybe they are considering us.
Our veg is really bad this year. Nothing has done that well. We've only had a couple of strawberries, the courgettes are still absolute tiddlers. One has one flower on. My cucumber i bought from the garden centre has got 5 ikea pencil size ones, and one of my four pepper plants has got 3 teeny peppers on. We dug up 2 potato plants and we got about 6 spuds. Not impressed. However, we have had a lot less time to deal with the garden this year with all the DIY. We are desperately feeding and watering everything to try and spur it on. Much jealousy here for even one courgette as i loved ours last year. So tasty.
They were really fast getting back to us - within 24hours I think so perhaps you're right and it will be good news for you. Fingers crossed. Doing really well with everything else too

What a pain Michelle. I can totally relate to the whole nightmare of having workmen in the house, in fact after replacing the kitchen in the house we used to live it, it put us off doing work so much we would only consider a new house we could move into and not do anything big for years.
Is it your builders who have chipped it then or did it arrive chipped do you think? Doesn't seem fair that you have to 'cop' for the blame and expense when its an error on the shop or builders, seem bad they have installed it and not notice before it was damaged.
Sorry to hear about your friend, how sad. Sending you massive hugs xxxTrying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings

Gives me time to get a chest freezer for the garage and fill it with yummy stuff so we don't have to live on takeaways and rubbish for a month. Hard work this house improving, especially with kids.
We managed without a functioning kitchen (and no cooker/ sink/ washing machine/ dishwasher) for around 14 weeks in total - although the cooker and dishwasher were installed the day before Xmas Eve! (about 10 weeks in) We managed on a microwave, an electric steamer, a toaster and a 'george foreman' grill. We got quite inventive!! (And we didn't egt a kitchen sink until the end of Jan in the end.... argh!!) My then youngest was 10 months when it started, the eldest 2 9 & 6 1/2. We had 2 of their birthdays and Xmas in all the upheaval too (it started in mid October.... but we did have building work done as well - walls knocked out, french doors replaced with a window (we had 4 back entrances to the patio, for goodness sake!!), ceilings taken down.....) Hi Michelle...
Just wanted to say you've done SO well and have really inspired me!
Recognised your name from 4K challenge a little while ago.
I'm a SAHM with a 16 month old daughter, our mortgage is £139,119 (looked last week!) and we're currently overpaying by £245 a month but you've inspired me to do more! Thats it, I'm on a mission!
(I've read your thread from start to finish in 2 days... dedicated!) or stalker-ish!

I haven't been by there in a while, but still trying to live on a low budget. I just can't manage as low as they do, and to be honest, i don't have too, so as low as possible while still doing as much as i can is ok with me. I can't deprive the kids too much. Well done on reading it all. Can't believe anyone would want to.
Are you going to start a diary too?
Well.... I'm now seriously considering a diary.... Jst phoned Intelligent Finance (mortgage Co) and they will accept one off payments over the phone with a debit card, which is very easy.... When I've done a few more ebay sales, I think I will start a diary! You realy have motivated me so thank you :T x0 -
hi michelle
spent yesterday afternoon reading through your diary and am very inspired!! you are doing so well!
can relate to a lot of your earlier posts too as I am currently out of work due to illness and we are trying to manage on one wage (no little ones though) so am finding comfort that others seem to be managing well!
havent quite got to grips with ebay yet tho....and I did take most of the stuff I was going to car boot to the charity shop as reliased for the stall fee I would probably only get a tenner or so back! not very MSE but ...there we go!
anyway, thought I would just pop my head in and say hey!0
