Oh PP you are a Mum in a million!! My DDs are 15 and 8-going-on-31. I have had one three hour party in our house and I can honestly say that the three hours seemed to last 12!!! Now I limit parties to two hours but still do them OS as I think they are more fun that way. One game both mine have loved is who am I? You write names of famous people they would know well (you know the drill - Simon cowell, Craig off of Coronation Street, Harry Potter etc) on post-it notes and then stick one on each person's forehead so everyone else can see who they are but they can't. Then they have to ask questions to try and find out who they are - sometimes it is hilarious, particularly with that age group!! My 8 year old also likes the game of "Beans" you shout out all kinds of different beans and they have to do certain actions - like:
French Beans - they have to do a daft pose and say "OOh la la!"
Chilli Beans - they have to shiver
jumping beans - jump
kidney beans - they have to curl into a kidney shaped ball
runner beans - they run on the spot
beans on toast - they have to lie on the floor all stiff
baked beans - they have to make wind noises
You go faster and faster with the commands and when someone fails to keep up they are out. It's really a daft game but my 15 year old still gets a laugh out of it.
hope they all have a great time (and make sure the gobby one doesn't win pass the parcel lol!!)Jane

P-P I hope the party goes great tomorrow and the whole family have a great time, especially the birthday girl.
I'm going to have to get my thinking cap on for my eldests next birthday as she will be in year 6 then, like your dd, so it will be her last at primary school with all her mates, it will be nice to have something to look back on.
Sounds like you are really organized though, I especially like the sound of pin the bag on the bratz, might play this one with my two in the holidays.0 -
Thanks so much guys!! Everything is basically done now but wanted to say a huge THANKYOU for all the practical advice and pointers:D
Im going to go and spend some *Special* time with my wonderful DD before the other Bratz turn up;)
My OH has done the music and he has put Stayin Alive on....I just hope he dont get his Beegee trousers out....how embarrassing.....and he has no rythm...poor DD.
I made a scrap book for her from when OH & I were married, preggers with her and all the piccies to go with it over the years since she was in me tummy....something for her to treasure. We were both crying when we going through it.....mainly because of my haircuts.....horrifying:eek: LOL...only joking!!
You never know how much time we have, so Im treasuring these moments and hopefully she will do the same.
Got to go as Im getting abit weepy.....Love ya guys
Hugs

My parents always organised a game of Bingo after tea which was a good way of calming us down particularly after we'd piggywigged on all that lovely 1970s junk food
