some of that 'oil in a spray can' - always helps of locks on doors/windows are stiff.

Find out from the people moving out exactly where the stop !!!! is for water, off switch for gas etc.

    A selection of spare fuses.

Thanks benjo, i'll add all of those onto my list.

And yes I do try to be organised, there's going to be so much to do...I actually have various other lists I'm building up, of things to do before we move (disassemble furniture, order new catflap etc!), stuff to do on the day (e.g. meter reads) and stuff to do after we move it.

So feels like the lists of lists are endless at the moment :p

The only other ones I can think of, for your list are:
    o HMRC
    o Schools (if applicable)
o Airlines for frequent flyer points
    o Any share registries
    o Electoral roll
    o Any magazine subscriptions
    o Library
o Membership of any trade organisations

And don't forget to take note of the electric/gas meter readings when you move in.

    Good luck moving!

If you register on moveme.com they will give you an excellent calendar of who to contact and when. They will also let you search for removers etc.

    Butter for cats paws

You've lost me there. Why would I want my cats traipsing butter all round our new house?
