No question. Buy it.
Always buy one.
Yes. Always.
Once it's yours, it's yours. You know you have parking, your friends would have parking, any workmen would have parking. You can rent it out if you aren't using it. Buy it.
Buy it now.
Do it now.
Just buy it....
Totally agree with the above. Why would you not buy it? You can rent out car park spaces for a fortune in the right area even if you don't have a car.0 -
Just thought I would update on this.
The parking space is in the NCP carpark. I can see the space from my balcony. The parking space would be mine to do as I wish. It will have its own deeds that are not attached to my flat. There is going to be an annual service/maintainence charge of £100.
I am about to place a £1000 deposit on it subject to conveyancing.
Can you do conveyancing yourself or is it best left a professional?0 -
Somewhere out in 'the wilderness' near heathrow would be much better off with a parking space in my opinion. People who live ot there tend to drive a lot and 'a few hundred metres walk' is a fair way, assuming that's really what it is.0

About 300 meters over a railway line outside a complete strangers house to be precise. It is actually in a different post code area so it may also affect my insurance if they knew where it was parked at the moment.
At least I will be able to wash my car if it is behind my flat. May need a pully system for buckets of water though.0 -
just to confirm what you have already done, but I would defo buy it.
I own a flat in east london in a development of about 750 flats, but only parking for about 500 residents (or some other silly number). anyway, if you want to buy a parking spot there its up for sale at about £35k.
people generaly 'rent' out a secure spot for about £60 a month.
you seem to have got it cheap at £3k!0 -
That's what I thought.0
