The reason that the premium changes is because, as dunstonh pointed out, there is statistical evidence that even being involved in a non-fault incident slightly increases your risk, hence the premium is altered to reflect this. In this respect it is no different to those who are young males or live in high-risk areas paying higher premiums.0 -
