I wasn't too concerned about the feasibility of the clause, more its legality.0

suppose ifs it on the back of the free call offer ( not charging for plan2) then they could impose the rule if they wanted / were able.
( given they paid me £20 for referring myself - 2nd line, £15 affiliate credit, £20 new line credit and 12m on plan2 for free I guess I don't mind giving them a little business)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Miken - I use the V4 dialler and although I had a bit of a hiccup programming it for NTL, when I returned to BT for my line rental, it was SOOOO easy to do. Orchid customer service is excellent also, they respond to e-mails and are very helpful. As a previous poster says, if you are really stuck, they will do it for you for £2.00, which you will save very quickly. But if I can do it, so can you!
I have chosen to programme if with the following combination (which as slashed my calls bill by 80% ;D ;D ;D) -
Landline calls (weekdays and evenings) - 18866 (1p per call)
Mobile calls - weekday peak time - 1899 (3p connection +10 per minute) - off peak - OneTel (I have their mobile saver / call saver and off peak this works out cheaper for the numbers dialled than 1899)
Weekend landline calls - Onetel (all free)
Weekend mobile calls - 1899 (3p + 2p pper minute)
I am sticking with Onetel even though Talk talk give free weekday evening calls as I switched to Onetel when I was on NTL (can't have talk talk with NTL) and they have been very good. Also I want the option of the other 2 service providers for cheaper calls and you can't have that with talk talk (legitimately!).
Just need to keep son off the mobile calls now!

Ahh, this is getting too complex, and changing daily. We're still signed up with Onetel CPS, and I'm a bit reluctant to change to TalkTalk just to save 1p for evening UK calls, given the trade off would be losing free directory assistance, except via the web. My current call table is (weekday/evening/weekend)
UK: Call18866/Call18866/Onetel (1p / 1p / 0p)
0845: BT/BT/BT (3p/min 1p/min 1p/min)
0870: Call1899/BT/BT (3p+7p/min 3.75p/min 1.5p/min)
Vodaphone mobs: Tele*/Onetel/Call1899 (10p/min 6.25p/min 3p+2p/min)
Other Mobs: Tele*/Tele*/Call1899 (10p/min 10p/min 3p+2p/min)
Dir Assistance: 118111(Onetel) (0p)
Australia: 0844x (1p/min)
Where Tele* is TeleDiscount/Savers/Stunt and
0844x is CheapestCalls/Ratebuster/Telesavers
Can anyone improve on this?
My mobile is with Vodaphone and Onetel do cheaper than 10p rates evening to Vodaphone, Onetel, T-mobile and Virgin phones, so it makes sense to use them for evening calls. And Tele* is 3p cheaper than Call1899, (as long as the number answers, otherwise it's dearer..... Bah, have to think about that.)
BTW Is there a way to put html code in the posts? This is a lot easier to read as a colour coded table.0
