Don't know whether it will help. We bought a HP C7280 wireless printer which worked fine on son's PC but not on mine. I eventually uninstalled HP software and completely reinstalled. This seemed to work, then stopped working. However an HP update appeared on screen which I downloaded. The printer started working again.

My previous HP printer worked first time every time with no problems whatsover. I certainly don't trust this new wireless device.

    Good luck.

Have you tried to access the printserver via HP's connection manager?

No i cant even get that far there is no connection manager thanks for your help but i have tried everything i can its there but just isnt getting picked up. It's strange i have sorted most computer problems i have encountered over the years but this is really stumping me. I think the problem may lie with the subnet address i shall try again tomorrow and check they match failing that i have to face defeat i have googled this. And i am not alone with this but have been unable to find a fix

Success i have now installed my wireless print server and everything is good, i used acronis image software and ran laptop back and everything is working fine. I could say its all down to my superior computing knowledge but i would be lying as i dont really know why it is working i tried a lot of solutions but none worked. But as i image my computers regularly thought it was worth a go and hey presto installed first time, thank you to everyone who helped me. And to anyone who has read this its well worth it if you have a few computers in the house however a pain in the a** if it dont work you have been warned
