ESA Questions

Uncertain
I have appealed against a decision to withdraw ESA following the medical and have now been told that the decision has been revised in my favour without having to go to a formal appeal. I seem unable to get through to them on the phone so I wonder if anybody here can answer the following questions.....
How long will it take for payments to restart?
I was previously getting only the "assessment rate" even though this had gone on for considerably more than 13 weeks. Will I now get a higher rate? If so, how much and will the be backdated to week 13?
Do I still need to provide regular Med 3 (Doctor's certificates)?
What else will happen?
The letter (well form really) does not provide any of the above information. It simply gives the reason for the revised decision.
Thanks

Yes you will get a higher rate as follows:
Weekly rate during the main phase
The main phase starts from week 14 of your claim, if the Work Capability Assessment shows that your illness or disability does limit your ability to work.
Type of group Weekly amount
A single person in the Work Related Activity Group up to £89.80
A single person in the Support Group up to £95.
The money will be backdated.
You will not need to provide Med 3s.0 -
Many thanks for your reply.
I get very confused by all this..... !!
They have agreed that I am medically unfit to work in their revised decision.
Which group does this put me in?
How often is this reviewed?
Will payments not restart automatically or do I need to do anything?
What do I have to do?
None of this information was in the decision letter (form) and I have held on for over half an hour twice on the phone without getting through!

I've had another half hour wait on hold today and not got through!
I was just wondering if anybody has the answers to my other questions to save wasting more money tomorrow?

Who is it exactly you are ringing.
If its an 0845 or 0870 number look on the website saynoto0870 and find
a normal 01 or 02 number. It will be a lot cheaper. Lots of these government depts are open till 7 or 8pm and if you ring after 6 (and you have free phone calls) it wont cost you anything on the 01 or 02 number. 0845/0870 calls are free if you are with bt. Good luckmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Hope that was tongue in cheek humour, if it was you should make it more obvious.
If it wasn't then sod off.
It was meant to be humourous - some people dont need neon signs to pick up on humour.0 -
