Sky + upgrade - any deals about?

Hi

I have Sky + already and a friend of mine has Sky. She was impressed with Sky + when she visited yesterday and wants to upgrade.

Are there any deals out there for existing customers? She isnt much of a haggler but I am happy to do it for her. We are not in a cable area so cant switch to Virgin but if I used this as a 'threat to cancel' would Sky know this and not budge?

Anyway any help would be appreciated, I have been reading the posts on this board but wondered if there was actually anything specific if I recomended my friend for an upgrade? I know there are / has recently been an offer for new customers but as I say my friend already has Sky basic subscription package.

hi I called sky yesterday as I have been with them for six years and feel a bit peeved that new customers get everything and we get nowt, after an hour I was told that there is a 3 month waiting list for HD Sky+ and that is why there is the new customer deals for just sky+ but as a excisting customer we can have one for>>>>>>>>>>>>>> £99 PLUS £60 conection !!!! what a bl>>>>>y cheek after a lot of arguing I got my current package for two months for £21! whopty doo! I am seriously thinking of getting my daughter to apply for a new system and then have this one cancelled! as it is the only way we can get squat! Boy I wish we could do something about things like this but it's them or Virgin and trust me they are worse! surely there has to be something we can do? IDEAS!!!!
