This probably sounds completely ignorant, but I suppose I'd never really thought about the extreme repurcutions of my reports.
I like to think I'm fair though - and I'd never exaggerate a report and intentionally get people in trouble. Just report the truth I suppose. I guess I've been pretty lucky and haven't recieved truly awful service yet.
I did have a dream last night that I did! I dreamt about a music/entertainment shop I'm doing in a couple of weeks and played out the whole scenario in my dream. Apart from the duty manager was VILE to me - telling me to F--- off, and that I was a right idiot and wasting their time.
I woke up devastated! I take dreams very personally for some reason. Now I'm dreading it!TWBM 2010 Wishlist:

Well, I just did my first mystery shop!
It was an online form that I had to fill out to the cover sheet scenario.
It was actually pretty hard to understand as the scenario was set out differently from the order and layout of the actual form, but I'm hoping I still did it OK and will get the payment for it.
Now I have 2 tomorrow, then all the ones I've booked start coming up ... hope I can make £50 over the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed it goes well!Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -

ooh, good luck!
I wasn't really nervous today because it was online so I could have my brief with me.
But tomorrow I have a burger place and a pub visit, so I'm a little nervous about getting those done correctly!Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -
Awww well done both of you for getting started! I'm a newbie too (I've been doing it for about 2 months now but haven't done very many jobs). If you get stuck on anything - everyone on here is so friendly and willing to help!
My advice would be - don't get disheartened if a report is questioned. When one of mine was questioned, I was so upset!!! Like they didn't believe I'd done it right. But you have to expect that sometimes and just stick by your guns!
As long as you know your breif inside and out, you'll be fine! And enjoy it! It's fun!TWBM 2010 Wishlist:

We of course didn't know when they were coming, but we were told by the manager that if the bartender who served the secret shopper didn't get 100% on the report, they would get fired and have to leave straight away.
I was terrified that I would get a shopper because I hadn't been working there very long and sometimes I would make little mistakes - 1 guy got 98% when the mystery shopper came round and was taken straight off the floor and asked to leave. He was really lovely and did his job well and 2% from perfect is hardly bad, surely?!
If I ever see that bar come up on my mystery shops I won't accept it because I think that policy is appalling and I would be tempted to just give them 100% to save somebodies job, bu then that isn't being fair and honest to your role as a mystery shopper.
Dilemmas all round!:cool::heartsmil:love::kisses3::kisses2::whistle:0 -
Does anyone ever see restaurant visits for Saturday evenings? Bf thinks that would be much more fun than Sunday lunchtime, but I've not seen Saturday evenings...0
