So you are going to the store to choose a new pair of frames, not lenses. You are there to rate their service, regardless of whether or not you are a current wearer!

And there are higher priced assignments that say if you are a glasses wearer, use your own prescription and if you arent a wearer, Tern will give you a prescription to use. You then purchase and send them in with your report for full reimbersement + the shop fee

I'm not arguing, I have read the notes and I'm just stating the facts! I tried to accept a job and it said I couldn't accept it as in my profile it says I wear glasses...

I wanted to apply for this job and it wouldn't let me as I have in my profile that I am a glasses wearer.

The brief says you have to have no as an answer to the question in the profile.

The Tern system is broke then.... I have 2 booked and already have done 2 last week

Noone is argueing, they're just pointing out that you're wrong.

Having queried this with TERN, they are only accepting (at least initially)applications from these jobs from people without a prescription.

This is because the people that DO have/need a prescription, can be used for the other scenarios that they shop for this client.

That is the only reason!

hi so ive been to GAP and got tons of phone jobs to thanks to alerts. but as for the others i cannot see any of them???? do i need to do some sort of orientation or something - i am now allowed to do pizza jobs but the competitor ones always show up for me. but i cant see any of these others?

Frankly, I haven't bothered since. The surveys may suit some people but for me it's too much effort for the fee and I'm slightly annoyed that I won't get paid for the effort I put in. The only decent paying surveys they seem to have are if you are prepared to actually sign up for a subscription or buy a product - really no use unless you were planning to do that anyway. Very disappointing.

thanks everyone its the test one i have done - i dont mind doing a few to build money up as they mentioned that somewhere or other when i got details inititally. i just wondered how long it took to get past the test stage thats all. i really enjoyed doing this more than normal ms as seemed more like an audit so i am hoping to get a lot of work

the site will only allow you to apply for these jobs if in your extended profile you have it set to no for glasses/contact lenses wearer. these are different jobs than normal with a lower fee as just enquiry and not actually making a purchase. hope that clears everything up and i am hoping to finally get my first tern job sometime soon :rolleyes:
