You could try racingpost.com or the website of the shop that you are doing on the day of the race.

I used to be a manager of one of the big bookies and I am a female. You do get women who come in for there partners/friends and are unsure how to place a bet.

The client has a website that is easy to use. I look up horses on there, and usually use the method of picking a name that has some connection to us. Last time I picked one called something Bob because our dog is called Bob

There you go pinkprincess I used scotsbob as an example. Becles thinks I am a dog. Do you think this is an omen? Kind of spooky, huh.

If I were you I would be betting on anything resembling Bob after these two quite strange, spooky and coincidental omens

TBH, if you're really stuck with it, just take it back with the receipt and you'll get a refund. There's no way they're going to trace it back to you. The store don't know you're a misery shopper and no one's going to check all the ms receipts to refunds in all stores - it'd be like looking for a needle in haystack.

Obviously, stores don't like you doing this, because they're effectively paying you in cash (more expensive than in goods), but if it doesn't say in the notes you can't take it back for a refund then at least you can plead ignorance.

Personally, the last thing I'd do would be to ask RE, because I can tell you now what they're answer will be and then you're stuffed! Then also you can't pretend to not know!

Blimey not done any MS in ages and just logged into RE - they have some hope of getting those pharmacy jobs completed dont they! I thought for half a minute my luck was in going round all those tomorrow until I read the scenario

After trawling through loads of pages since coming back off holiday, I've been compiling a list of things that could go towards an FAQs page, as I've been going along - maybe post 3, ukmonkey on the next thread?

Does the RE brief not say to not take things back unless there is a genuine reason or fault?
If you are looking for a swap to the right size its not even a refund so there should be no problem.
I (and many others AFAIK;)) have taken items back for a full refund when bought on MS adventures and I (for one) have never heard anything back.
Mind you I did wait until I had been paid for the job. And I have had other jobs since ...... :cool:
The reason for re-imbursements and not straight fee is so the client at least gets some of their money back by charging full price to a MSer so they get the mark up difference and get some profit. MSers win by getting the free product and write it off as expense for tax. Win/win (unless you are hmrc of course....:rolleyes:)
