Is it just me, or does everyone find TNS's payments not worth it across the board? None of their jobs has jumped out as me yet and I haven't applied for any - it doesn't help there aren't any really close to me - but I just think there's no way I'd do that assignment for that fee.

Think I'll give the Bank jobs on TNS a miss - Less than £20 for 90 minutes - no thanks

I'd do it but I'm not old enough  £20 is about what I'd earn in 4 hours so sounds pretty good to me!!

Thanks to those who wished me luck. I think it went ok. Fastest I have ever been served, so that was auto-queried on the report, and there was no phone number on the receipt. Also my new phone deletes the times as soon as you close the slider which was a bit rubbish, so i had to remember what I'd read off - and so i got the big doubts when they queried it! Sure i was right though, they were just super speedy.

They are pretty poor to be fair especially since they've started docking mileage

That's how I look at it...In one of my jobs I get mimimum wage, which is £5.73 per hour. By the time I've paid tax and NI I barely get £4.30 to take home, and then I have to think about the cost of the petrol I use getting to work, so £20 would be roughly what I would earn on a 4-5 hour shift (during which time I'm on my feet, running around like a headless chicken!)

I would be more than happy to take one of these, but I guess my competition beat me to it this time! I'll be ready next time (cue evil laugh) :D

Hi, thanks for all the useful info in this thread. I am relatively new to MSing but thought I would just make you aware that I have just had a query back from an 'underground' sandwich shop. The client has obviously lied about what is on the CCTV. Their staff were useless! I have stuck to my guns and explained my answers but there is obviously a risk of not being paid. I think this chain are all franchises so there must be something in it for them to argue our answers.

hi i am just popping in quickly to see how everyone is, probably wont be back in till august as im away on hols from next week. Well Ive managed my target for this month with 6 jobs still to do so I am pleased but not being paid for 2jobs with TNS (supermarkets), 2 jobs with GR - both phones different reasons, 1 phone job with GAP and TERN hae deallocated me! So all a bit annoying really!! I hope everyone else has had a good month. Ive only got 6 jobs booked for August and its a wait till I can do supermarkets for TNS again and after all the hassle and then not being paid for two of them and now the mileage has gone I will not be doing any apart from local ones again which is a shame as I actually found them relatively ok.

Anyhow my new all favourite company is edigital. Thanks to whoever told me to apply for the car jobs as I got 4 surveys in the end. I have enjoyed all of them so much more than standard MS work and I got 3 vetted and invoice in all in the one day so I am very pleased! Also means I make money on these as I know I am going to be paid and there are not expenses like fuel and printing involved.

When I logged back in I had had a PM I guess by mistake from days ago. It was about RE station jobs and could I select them and then they do the work! It must be a complete error of judgement and not meant for me as I lived in a different part of the country. just want to make it clear to concerned party that there is no way in the world I think this is ok or would consider doing that and that if you and whoever you meant to PM do do it you both deserve to get caught by RE and sacked IMHO.

    Hi Everyone,

Monkeyboy just PM-ed me, begging me to come back, was on his knees pleading and crying he was ;) so how could I refuse!!

Actually I couldn't've come back before today even if I'd wanted too - I've had a hell of a week, you might have seen on the news about the power cut in North Kent/SE London due to vandalism at 12.45 Monday lunchtime, well I've been without power for 65 hours,  it came back 5.45 this morning. And we're off to Cornwall this afternoon so I'm currently trying to get everything washed and dried to pack!

Luckily being the school hols, I hadn't got any jobs at all booked this week, if I had, I wouldn't've been able to do them, or contact any of the companies to tell them why!

Anyhow, signing off now to do more packing, am taking the laptop and O2 mobile broadband dongle with me so hoping to be able to log on, but we're staying in the middle of Bodmin Moor so I'm not too sure!

Will definitely be back on this thread when I get home though.

    Happy Shopping!!!

    Lots of Love, TG xxxxx
enjoy your hols as you leave bodmin ill be heading for weymouth!

I'm not keen on the TNS finance ones. By the time you add up the time spent on the appointment, travel time, city centre parking charges, time to type up the report and a trip to the Post Office to return the literature, it's just not worth it IMO.

    I like edigital too.
Here I go again on my own....

    Don't worry about that.

I have never done one of those without that query coming up. The one that says something like "this time is faster or slower than normal, tell us why."

Don't worry about it. Obviously if there was only one person in the queue you get served super quick and you tell them that was why.

Nothing to worry about that is a standard question.

Treat the first one as a learning experience, you won't make the same mistake with your timing again and you will be more confident.

    Good luck
