You can collect your winnings from any shop in the same chain.

Most betting shops around my area never see women inside. However due to some quaint laws, they have to provide a ladies toilet and smoking is no longer officially allowed.

Therefore the room labelled "Ladies" is in fact used as the gentlemens smoking room. Thus giving two laws a body swerve at the same time.

I can just imagine the panic if a woman tried to enter.

Any shop in the same chain.

I am only describing the problem you may encounter in this area. Other areas may be less enlightened.

I've done the betting shop ones. Usually the ladies toilet is locked and you have to go and ask for the key. I normally do the observations and put my bet on first as it just screams mystery shopper when you ask for the key. In one branch, the toilet key was attached to a brick :rotfl:

Put it this way, you have probably got a better chance of getting into the Masonic Lodge than getting into the bookies

I've made bets before for the Grand National, but never done an MS in a bookies so I booked in three for when I get back from holiday next week ... sounds like it's going to be an experience!

I think there's going to be a lot of bookies panicking at the mass influx of women over the next month !!!! I think I'll get my dad to pick a horse and wait outside whilst I venture into the unknown !!!! :eek:


On another note - has anyone had any trouble with RE today? I cannot for the life of me submit my reports. I keep getting that error message saying to add extra comments to support my answers but no matter how much or how little I write it just won't accept my answers. Some of the boxes have turned green which normally means I've written enough but another one just will not budge.
I've had to send 3 seperate emails tonight about this.

Would I be right in guesing a stamp job?

Ensure you have checked the boxes, one is not very obvious and I kept adding more and more comment until I sussed it out. It's one of those you have to give a mark out of ten for.
