Sorry SC I am just catching up with the forum as I am just recovering from swine flu.
Well named as it is a swine of an illness. And most of you know I am a qualified nurse but due to having a mum with Alzheimers I am working in the store where you tap your back pocket!!!
Our policy is if you have lost your receipt they dont give you the money back but give you a gift card to use in the shop. I am not rich but live in a well off area ( the poor end). We had a posh customer who returned wine with a Tesco label and insisted she bought it from us. She got a gift card.
No wonder they call this area "fur coat and no knickers"
:rotfl:
Thanks for the info HP, was just curious as one store said if it was not an own brand product then I would need a receipt.
I remember you telling that story about the Tesco wine before - I still can't believe the cheeky madam got away with that (or that she had the nerve to try it in the first place!)
Sorry to hear you've had swine flu - hope you are on the mend now.0 -
What's the story with new log-ins on TNS? I got a 'reminder' email yesterday but this is the first I've heard of it. No wonder I can't open the bloomin' job links.
Have emailed my AM but not very hopeful of a reply as she generally doesn't reply to my emails (can't say it will be that much of a loss if they really have been made redundant as some have said)

Becles - I know RE have a record of what you download as I've had a call from them saying, they saw I had downloaded the notes and if I would like to do the job as its not been taken. I hope you told them the reasons why you did not take it (if it was to do with the brief), I could have taken a few of the station jobs, especially the posh food supermarket ones but to have to ask 2 questions, i think its just over the top, plus was there an extra questionnaire as well, I lost interest after the 1st page of notes.0

When they send your work pack email, they give you specific log in details for that job, just click on the link as usual and enter your 'new' log in number and password.
You still use your original log in details for getting on to the main site...0 -

Did you not see the email about this change a few weeks ago?
Dunno why they've done it, must be some reason why they had to, but seems a bit daft to me, but makes no difference IMO as you have to read their email to find the password, so it's just one extra thing to copy.0 -
Morning people - I have picked up two jobs from RE last night - but it's showing a duplicate of each of them in my Active jobs and telling me I have 4 Active - what's going on?!?0

Caz - are these station jobs? You now have to complete one questionnaire about the visit, and an extra one about the other pointless stuff - but there is still only one visit!!! These used to be together on the same questionnaire, don't know why they have been spilt into two0

I've seen that before when you can only select one or a certain number of the jobs. Rather than disappear like normal, the jobs stay there but you get the other shopper error message when you try and pick them up.
RE phoned me yesterday. I read a brief and decided I didn't want to do the job, and they rang me asking why I didn't accept it after reading it. Has anyone else had this before?
Hmmm ... that would makes sense, except I've since accpeted a number of other jobs! Its not even consistent within the same type of job. For example - I applied for a posh sandwich near a cathedral and it had been taken. When I went back I selected the same company, but at a station instead. After that I had another look and the cathedral one was still there, but I still couldn't have it! grrr ...Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -

I was dumbfounded by this for a good hour and was about to call them until I worked it out ... so I am very pleased that I can share it with someone!
Its because when you read the brief, it says that you have to do the usual questionnaire, then afterwards you have to fill in another more subjective questionnaire on the same visit. You have to fill them both in on the same day, so don't choose different dates for them!Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -
Good morning everyone
I've just been accepted for Mystery Customer Evaluations, just wondered if anyone gets much work out of them?
Could someone please tell me what company ESA is, I don't know what the initials stand for?0
