  • Hi everyone

First post on this thread - so be nice! I've just started mystery shopping and am really enjoying it, plus the pounds are starting to gather up - both in the bank and on my belly!! I'm getting so sick of eating fast food but they are the only ones I seem to be getting from RE and Gap!!

I've registered with with aba-i for a few stores, but there are never any in my area. I don't think I've got them all though, would anyone mind PM-ing me the stores that use aba-i as I'm only registered with 3 so far that I can find.

    Thanks so much

"Bottom line, who is footing the bill? If the MS company then report excatly what happened, factually and objectively and make sure you get your expenses. The rest is up to them."

cheers for the response scotsbob, shame that the cost of the meal isn't covered by the expenses. Still at least the rest is a tax loss lol

As far as "How can they do it ?" goes.....

Their game, their ball. You're self employed and you apply for jobs-if you don't like the way they do business don't apply for their jobs. Must admit I'm very picky with Gap jobs although I've had both reports not paid for what I felt were spurious reasons and on the other hand paid when I utterly messed up and ultimately now have decided they are not worth the bother unless it's somewhere I'm going anyway or is literally on my doorstep.

Regarding the question about complaining about a meal-I had a meal this week where the starters took 30 minutes (it was a very quiet time too). I didn't complain as I wanted to see what they said when the food finally appeared even though the questionaire had a question asking what happened if you had to complain. Waiting to see if it gets queried or not (this wasn't Gap though)

My favourite questions on the RE questionaires that require a wordy answer are "Did you check the male or female toilets" and "Are you male or female" It's so hard to not put a sarky reply but still put in enough words :)

    ROFL :) nice one.

I once did a shop where the guy was so camp it was unbelievable.

    1.) Yes
2.) He bit his lower lip, smoothed his hair down and blushed
3.) OH!! no offence but I thought I had seen you in the Candle Bar
4.) Oooh hello, be with YOU in just a minute, loving your shirt by the way

As camp as a row of pink tents.

I filled in the questionnaire by paraphrasing rather than quoting directly.

Can somebody tell me how I release a job on RE please? I emailed them yesterday with a query and got no reply, and I don't want to do the job without confirmation of the reimbursement. I cant reschedule as there are no other dates, so I'm a bit stuck. Any advice appreciated please.

Phone them tomorrow - they're very good on the phone. Unless the job is today?

Any ideas on my petrol question? :p

Unfortunately the job is today. It was a food and drink visit between 4pm-11pm and the venue stops serving food at 4pm. One person at RE told me go before 4pm and another said go between the hours on the brief and treat as a drinks only visit. The trouble is that for a meal and drink for 2 it was a good visit, but for drinks only it really isnt worth my while as the fee is very small and the questionnaire large, lol.

Sorry, can't help with the petrol question as I didnt get any near me.
