Managed to pick up a few Bookies on RE today but all the Stamp Shops in my area have either gone, or not been uploaded yet.

Had anyone nicked all the Stamp Shops in South Yorkshire?? Someone keeps nicking them all off Gap before I get a chance to look, so it wouldn't surprise me :(

Edited to add: I can see a couple of Torso shops too. I would feel very out of place doing those though, what with being a bloke and all!

My OH does them and gets all the help required as he says he is looking for something for the missus. Not that I ever get anything as they get put by for Xmas and birthday presents

Good idea. Now I just need to find myself a missus!

I think I'll stick to the betting shops and my dream of winning the million.

Note it says if you win, you have to copy your slip before you claim so you can still complete your report. Do RE really think that someone who wins a million quid is going to be bothered about losing 2 points?!

"Nicking them" ??? You make that sound as though they are yours.

If you had got there first and booked them would you be "nicking them" from other people?

No, if I got them first it would be quite legitimate!

It was just a phrase, no offense intended to whoever got there first.

Could somebody give me a bit of advice about a pub job for RE please?

The notes say visit between 4-11pm for a meal and drink, but phone beforehand to check when they serve food. I phoned, and they stop serving food at 3.45pm so I spoke to RE and was told visit a bit earlier. I thought I would email them with the same question (just to double check) and the reply was to visit between 4-11pm, as the brief says, and treat it as a drinks only visit . Confusing or what!!

Anyway, what I would like to know is this.......the reimbursment for the food and drink visit is £15.00, will I still get the full amount even if I only buy drinks?

    Many thanks

Normally RE only remiburse what you actually spend, so you'll just get the money for your drinks back. Is there a fee for this job too or is it reimbursement only? Standard drinks only visits carry a small (as usual for RE) fee usually, but a lot of the food and drink ones don't.

If there is no fee, I would email the person back (or call if it's to be done today) and ask if they can pay a fee. If not I personally would ask them to release it, as it's not worth the hassle for a free drink. Especially when they specify what drink it has to be!

I had a torso shop offered to me via email the other day , dont think they went on the website as they were for a specific day only and they didnt want to be let down by anyone ...... so I guess that one was just a random one showing that shouldnt have been released.

    I got offered this too
    I assume someone released it
I asked them to up the fee as its a 30 mile round trip
But they never got back to me
"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

  • I'm hoping someone can help with a pizza job I have today with G*p...I'm being a bit blonde with the instructions. It says you can purchase a meal for up to 2 people, but I'm hoping to take along our 4 year old daughter.

I'm a bit confused by it all. Option1 seems to involve a large pizza which I and OH could share, along with 2 drinks, appetiser and salad bowl.

how would we work our daughter paying separately?? or would I be best all 3 of us sharing a large pizza, but then I guess we'd still need to pay for her drink separately. Help, and thanks in advance..

The reimbersement for your visit is meant to be for 2 people eating the options displayed in the brief, however I have quite often found the reimbersement doesnt cover the amount spent on 2 people anyway.

I would put your daughter in the same transaction and pay for the whole lot together, then upload receipt to Gap explaining you spent extra on your meal

I have 3 people (inc. myself) before and paid together, came to about £45, Gap paid the reimbersement in full without any queries.
