But whats the point of asking the question in the first place if you didnt listen to my answer anyway ?!?!

You would have been better off just asking Gap in the first instance rather than asking here and then ignoring us anyway

Given how much trouble we seem to be having on here recently, is this sort of comment really a good idea? Can't you just let it go for once? Everyone be friends?

The thing is, at a lot of burger places, as soon as you ask for a receipt the games up! No one has ever actually pointed at me or said anything, but I've noticed staff looking over at me frequently, a couple of times someone has come to take my tray and ask how my food was (one time ignoring a pregnant mum with a kid on her hip trying to balance a try, but helping me!) and once I saw a supervisor instruct a sullen memberof staff to hand out balloons just after I had been served ... coincidence?!

That's the best bit of the job - watching the panic and seeing how so sickenly nice they can be to other people. It's so much fun I've been tempted to pop in and ask for a receipt when I'm not MS'ing the place :o:rotfl:

The burger place tried to oust me once, but they description they gave Gap was wrong. Had to describe myself to the lady from Gap and she said the descriptions didn't match.

Only been sussed in a computer games shop but that was partly the MS companies fault. I'd already done them three times in a six month period and they begged me to go back again. They're tiny shops and I was served by the same people asking them random questions but not buying anything, so it's no wonder they remembered me.
Here I go again on my own....
  • Just had a real hassle trying to submit two reports for RE - comments boxes were staying red and in different font no matter how many words I put in. I gave them a call, and they said to wait a bit and try again, the system had a 'glitch'. After six attempts each, I managed to file the reports, taking the best part of two hours - anyone else having issues?

    Me too.

It is getting scarey to post on here these days and that is a shame.

Not that it bothers me how much anyone spent, its your own choice after all, but for someone to ask a day or two ago a question, which was answered and backed up with quotes from a recent brief, to then state "oh, I spend the £x anyway" making out as if you have been ripped off of a few free pounds really just does go to show that some of us really could do with reading the briefs properly before doing assignments.

I haven't put this on the Alerts as it's just for specific areas:

I've just had an email from rqa-europe about Mystery Visits to places where you can adopt animals -you have to assess the place etc & it's a good fee. They want a variety of people to visit and check them out - the report afterwards is supposed to take 20 minutes or so.

You can adopt the animal if you want to but don't have to!!

I wish one of them were near me but they are in:

Worcester, Herts, Sussex, N.Yorkshire, Oxon, Cambs & Devon if anyone is interested.

The email does say if you know anyone who is interested etc let them know so thought it would be OK to post on here! I've been registered with rqa for ages but not done any work for them - if you're interested PM me & I can give you the details of who to contact.

No, your brief would have said "You must spend £x on products OR send a letter"

This is a case of you purely not reading the brief correctly - which goes to prove my point about the GFK email I posted a few days ago about people not reading briefs properly

The 1st page of my brief stated- quote- " You MUST spend a minimum £x.xx for your assignment to be valid"

The second page then said - quote - "Either spend a small £x.xx purchase OR post a letter and get a POP"

Hence my confusion. I ALWAYS read my briefs thoroughly:D

Obviously not, I looked at my brief and was 100% clear in my mind that I could post a letter that came to £1 recorded and still reclaim the full payment for the job.

The big give away is the "Either Or" statement.
