Good news RE TNS and my ripped receipt. They forwarded my receipt to head office and they have said I will be paid for the visit but it will still need re-shopping.
    At least I get paid!

    Yay! Always worth challenging!

I've thought I've been rumbled a few of times, especially if its somewhere I do regularly and they start to issue a receipt without me asking! But recently I produced a certificate for a voucher for an outstanding member of staff and their manager was bowled over and claimed he never would have guessed I was an MSer. I left quickly but I guess his genuine shock must mean I'm convincing as a genuine customer.

Can't ever go back there to do an assignment now though as I know they'll recognise me. On the plus side, OH pointed out that if we go in on our own accord we're always gonna get exceptional service in future!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRR. Just tried to submit 2 reports to GAP. They both told me I had errors, but they were correct answers about the description of the staff member. I left them blank and the form submitted but now there are answers left blank which you would not think would submit!! Anyway I have emailed them to explain./ Do you think that is sufficient cos the jobs were quite far and i dont want to not get paid!!

That happened twice to me. Once I selected "women's" toilet and I was told by WebExpress it was invalid. The other was that my timings were wrong and they should be "more than 30 secs from time of Qn 20", when they were clearly are.

I didn't submit the reports but quickly sent an enquiry titled WebExpress. On both occasions, they pulled my reports through and I just need to upload the receipts.

The other occasion I was annoyed with GAP was they refused to pay me because I bought an orange juice instead of a soft drink. It was because the drinks machine was not working! Wrote plenty of comments why I had to buy an OJ but nooooooo.....
  • I've just finished a GAP assignment and I'm having probs with the paperwork, does anyone know what a KS# is? Also it says I have to put in the price of the meal which I have done but it keeps telling me I haven't! I've emailed their enquires for help but i don't know if they'll get back to me in time

Anyone doing any truck phone calls?
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
  • So even if you live in the Midlands like me, you can still do the assignment if Gfk provide a postcode for you?

Hmm ... thats what is sounds like to me, but I really have no idea, as some people who are in London didn't get the email either ... not sure why though.
I'm sure many people on here have been "outsted" for the burger jobs on Gap, including me! I got paid for it so that was fine.

I did an ABA-i petrol job once where I'm not sure if they sussed I was a MS'er after I left, as when I got back itno my car, I noticed the cashier pointing to me to the duty manger.

The thing is, at a lot of burger places, as soon as you ask for a receipt the games up! No one has ever actually pointed at me or said anything, but I've noticed staff looking over at me frequently, a couple of times someone has come to take my tray and ask how my food was (one time ignoring a pregnant mum with a kid on her hip trying to balance a try, but helping me!) and once I saw a supervisor instruct a sullen memberof staff to hand out balloons just after I had been served ... coincidence?!

KS# as far as I'm aware is actually the POS#. I just enter that.

When you put the price of the meal in, have you written it as £xx.xx? You need to take away the £ sign for it to work.

I did a popular pub chain and was specifically requested in the briefing notes not to ask for a receipt so I didn't get one - does this now mean that I can't offset the money I spent on required purchases for the job for tax purposes, as I don't have proof of my purchase? :(

I just tried it without the £ sign and it still won't work, I can't work out what i'm doing wrong!

That's really interesting... I'm not a tax expert so would like to know this as well. Have got what I presume is a similar assignment in a few weeks time.

Oh dear, I don't know what to suggest then - email them using the "Enquiry" button at the top of the site and let them know what is happening. I'm sure they'll sort it out for you as the people at GAP are quite helpful.
