In a phone shop where I had to get a business card for proof of visit.

The assistant had written the info on a Postit note. I knew I wouldn't get paid for that so I was right up the Swannee. The following conversation then took place.

Scotsbob:- Tell you what my dear, I always lose bits of paper, you couldn't write that on a card that I could stick in my wallet.

assistant :- Oh! it's one of those.
assistant:- There you go I've put the date, the store ID number and my name, is that all right for you?
scotsbob:- That is most helpful. By the way can I take one of those promotional packets of mints, my old mum loves to suck on a mint of an evening. Oh not the whole box of samples, are you sure? Well much obliged, good luck to you babe.

PS to the company lurkers on this thread. Promotional mints were available for ALL customers and did not influence the positive report I wrote.

FWIW, I would think they'd pay you with a post-it note of the info. They pay with just an unmarked copy of the brochure, so I think a post-it would more than do...

Hello every one. :) I've received a response from GAP regarding the stamp jobs, they basically just told me that the £*.** was a standard reimbursement fee and that I would get paid that regardless of how much I spent on my postage, so post letters I'd say!

too late for me today as i spent the £x.xx just to be sure, but its a letter next time!!
Any chance you could copy their reply to the forum please?

In regards to burger jobs and getting sussed out - after being sussed out in London, I'm actually terrified of being spotted again... so now I only opt to do the drive thru ones.

It's brilliant - same reimbursement, for a fraction of the time and a fraction of the questionnaire. Also, they often give you a receipt without having to ask for it - bargin.

    Hi Emma,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

You are indeed correct. Please note that you are reimbursed a flate fee of £*.** irrespective of the cost of postage (as this may vary).

    We hope this helps!

    Best regards,

Yes definitely, Gap is very hit or miss but on this occasion I find they are being rather good. :D

But whats the point of asking the question in the first place if you didnt listen to my answer anyway ?!?!

You would have been better off just asking Gap in the first instance rather than asking here and then ignoring us anyway

My jobs were this morning and the letter from GAP was not posted until a short while ago. I did not ignore anyone, I just erred on the side of caution as my brief said you MUST spend £x..xx for your assignment to be valid:D
I have emailed GAP about this myseld but never got a reply. And knowing how difficult they can be I did not want to ask again for fear of being sacked!!:p

There's no need to get our knickers in a twist about it, we have the answer now and that's all that matters. :)

No, your brief would have said "You must spend £x on products OR send a letter"

This is a case of you purely not reading the brief correctly - which goes to prove my point about the GFK email I posted a few days ago about people not reading briefs properly
