As predicted, all TNS Area Managers have been made redundant. A sad day.

If true, this is the second time this has happened in 3 years - The original London based controllers was made redundant and we moved to more localised AM's based in the region who did the MS work as only part of their main TNS job. If we dont have the rapport with the call centre then I can see there being issues with getting the remote locations done ....

Suprise surprise my timings were queried by RE at the nightclub - even though I clearly stated the exact times in the first line of my report, as well as telling them the issue with their system!

Ah so you stole one of my Aberdeen nighclub jobs - curse you! lolol.

Only joking. I did an Aberdeen nightclub on Saturday night - was good fun, better than the Inverness one I did the previous week.

Heh heh! Well I was going there anyway so I thought I would get paid for it! Which one did you do? Was it with RE or someone else? Mine was the animal x2 as I am sure you know! :rotfl::beer:

Mine was an American city solid stone with RE. We should arrange a MS workers Clubbing night in a city which has a few nightclubs needing done on the same night. We could turn them into our own little 'works night out'!

My partner lives in Aberdeen and I am in Inverness, so we both end up visiting the RE clubs quite regulalrly as we pickt hem up fairly alternatly.

Just read about your Aberdeen assignments!!! you don't have much luck eh...i hope it gets storted for you

Same AM here as well. When they made our last Scotland Controller redudant in 2006, I arranged a Bouquet, Chocolates and Bubbly to be sent to her office on her last day. She phoned me in tears to say thank you as she said they had been given little fanfare when they were leaving but she had put so much work my way I couldnt not send her something. I think I'll need to do the same again, GW has been a fantastic AM for me and I'll miss her hughely.
  • Well an update on my Bare phone job - in Aberdeen - as I wasn't able to speak to anyone I won't get paid for it - glad I never bothered my *rse to fill out any of the report then! One for you perhaps Mike?

I think you need to be Male and of a certain age. A si can see them all and have done for ages, i must be of that certain age

I'm female and can see a few homeware stores, the same brand as the supermarkets that are usually on TNS. Not sure why I'm looking really, as am starting a new full time job on Wednesday so will not have much time to MS, but am addicted to looking on all the sites!

That would be good! they have the same nightclub that I went to in Aberdeen showing in Glasgow, but no fee! No way I am doing that as I wouldn't normally go there.

GW was lovely with me when I first stared, but over the last wee while has been horrid, making me feel this big whenever I had a query on a job - which wasn't often. So no flowers from me - and I haven't heard anything about them being made redundant yet anyway.
