I didnt know that was their policy.... I have had both of my emails I sent answered promptly . Guess I was just lucky eh ! :rotfl:

I have emailed them twice recently with problems when carrying out visits - I'm waiting to see how much I get paid to see if I'm to be paid anyway, they didn't bother to reply to either.

why? I was in the middle of making a response to duchy when ukmonkey posted and also trying to eat my cheese toasted sandwich before it went cold, oh and btw, I was posting a response already to monkey when you posted, just in case you think I only responded because of you!

I think Tg was joking Taggie.

I think after all our "differences of opinion" the other day a lot of us are a little on-edge.

No reason why we can't all get along though, as we seem to be today :-)

Don't suppose you are a member of the other serious forum are you BM, the one that is invite-only? I'd like to join, but it's invite only.

    I am. ;)

The "invite only" rule is such that I can only invite people I know

So I can't invite anyone here as I do not know them. Sorry.

However, all is not lost :D

It is rare that the MSUK Work available has jobs that are not advertised here and\or on the Office.

If you are with the Office then you'll be covered.

Does anyone know how long it takes for ESA to allocate you an assignment. I've just applied for my first two jobs and was wondering when I'll hear back.

    Thanks

IMHO this is an amateur thread about what should be a serious attempt (for some) to earn money.

Join the proper MS forums if you are serious, if you want to chat then stay here :D

Exactly. And that's why this forum doesn't need to be changed. The people who post on here do so because they like it as it is. Others should, like you say, go elsewhere to a 'serious' forum if they want to be 'serious'.

Hold on a second - I would consider myself a "serious" Mystery shopper - however, I am new and so like the open and helpful atmosphere on here and I felt welcomed when I first joined. I don't need to talk about all my 'serious' jobs and and all the 'serious' aspects of MS'ing, but that doesn't make me any less serious about the work that I'm doing.

And who is it to judge how serious someone is about the work they do based on which forums they belong to and the banter they choose to/not to engage in there within?

As has already been mentioned, The Office does not accept freebie email addresses, due to problems with spam etc, any one registering with a free email address will be automatically deleted.

It does state this on the simple registration form
I'm not sure I completely understand what this "The Office" forum is exactly or how it benefits people, but surely this policy also excludes people who are genuinely interested in contributing but can't afford "not free" email addresses (sorry - don't know the proper word for this!).
For example - those who are MS'ing due to a lack of other money to try and increase their income ... I imagine there are quite a few of us on here.
