I've just worked out the deal with the extra survey thing on RE station jobs - it's actually in our favour! The new thing is basically the second page of the old questionnaire - but we're getting paid extra to do it separately!

My concern is that maybe they're trying this out on us with a view to eventually having ordinary customers fill it in instead, like some other outlets are doing?

Is it ? Some of those jobs paid £W before and now it#s £x plus £y making it exactly the same amount-How is it in our favour ?

I've noticed a few greedy and self serving posts over recent weeks too-and I don't see the point in booking jobs you probably can't do -simply out of greed or for the sake of saying "I have XX number of jobs" when knowing there is no way you can complete them all. Makes all of us look bad IMO. Also it makes it harder for anyone cancelling a job for a genuine reason.
Book a job if you can do it-not if you *might* and if you know you can't do the dates and hope the MS company is desperate enough to move the dates then leave it for someone who CAN do the job as per brief. Same goes for claiming the job isn't profitable enough-do the maths before accepting the job -or take the loss (and keep the MS company thinking you are reliable too)

I'm guessing that's a dig at me, because I posted the other day how many jobs I was doing in the next couple of weeks.

And for your information, I have every intention of completing them all.

No it wasn't actually. You're one of the people I consider to be professional in their work. I don't believe I've ever seen you post saying you'd booked jobs you had no idea if you could complete or not <shrug>
    Guess again !!

    Ouch! a bit touchy TG!
Friendly advice, we've forgotten your outburst the other day, its over with..move on, no need to take everything to heart ..not everything is aimed at you ..it was a fair comment by duchy to tbw IMO and nothing directed towards you personally.

I dont think TG is being touchy as you say .... I think she quite rightly thought that the post referred to her (which of course has kindly been explained that it was not), I am quite sure that she did not take it to heart , and as you say of course not everything is aimed at her , I would most certainly think not as she is one of the most helpful people that posts on these boards ....... it seems as though you just want to have the last say about things , us regular posters on here had not mentioned anymore about 'the other day', why oh why bring things up again.....?????

I must admit that I do tend to agree with the comments about the attitude to booking jobs that you may not be able to do .... the one time I did it I felt dreadful about having to cancel the job when I checked the instructions properly and couldnt do it (this was a recent occassion) , I only ever cancel if I really have to through illness or another genuine reason.

Anyway have a good rest of the weekend everyone .

Ah I missed the last lot then as certainly some of the ones in early June were £X and not £Y

And I too see NO benefit in bringing up last week's comments-No I wasn't getting at TG and I was surprised she thought I was talking about HER-but heck it's hot and we're all a bit touchy but I don't see that as any excuse to allow troublemakers to try and stir things up in what is a nice and friendly group so sorry Saveit-but don't try and make me a part of your troublemaking games-I'm NOT playing your silly game !!
Anyway if I want to take issue with what she said I assure you I am MORE than capable of saying so myself thank you !!! (brings up a mental picture of duchy and TG beating each other over the head with MS printouts in the middle of Bluewater.......I don't think so ;) )

Not even sure the email was about those or something else? I will have to give them a ring on Monday if no one can shed any light.
