  • Hi everyone!
I wasn't logged on her last night but I was reading - I think the heat gets us all hot and bothered!
Anyway, I called RE regarding the Little Spanish meals - turns out you have to order a Coke/Diet Coke, Peroni and a glass of wine. Rubbish! Neither of us like Peroni so I will have to pour some of it into my coke glass when they are not looking!

Also, how do I de-allocate a job on RE? I booked a casino visit but I'm not able to do it - didn't check the dates properely. Now I can't see how to deallocate. Not bothered about my points but don't want to get blacklisted!

OK Have done this - now it says I have to call the guy who is heading up the casino jobs  Is this normal?

I have just done a couple of phone shops for GAP and it is asking me to upload a receipt - how can I have got a receipt from a phone enquiry??

My brief said that I must get a business card - so I uploaded those as receipts. Neither shop yesterday had business cards, so I usually just ask them for a brochure and to write their number on it in case I have any questions.

Speaking of releasing/cancelling jobs I had a quick question; how frowned upon is it by the main MS companies? Are you going to be penalised or stopped from looking at certain types of jobs if you release some?

I got my first payment today :j

However it has put me in a bit of an odd situation. I'm doing a bank job later on but if I pay in a cheque to the same account the member of staff will see the company won't they?? Unfortunately it's the same company that have paid me that I'm shopping for!

I don't want them to put 2+2 together so would you risk it or should I put the money into my savings account and hope they don't look at the current account? Or am I just being overly paranoid?? :o

I do it all the time with my bank and they have never twigged. They are too busy battling the queues

    Hope this helps

Often I get offered jobs, but when I read the notes, I can't do it. ie. You can only visit this place once in 3 months, or something like that, I have just this second released one because I did the same place last month!

Dont think they always look in depth when they offer you work.

Not had that before but maybe its to do with being a casino job , not attempted one of those before.

Thank you for replying, I hope you're right as I need to release one or two possibly and I don't want to be penalised for it. It's frustrating because I try and accept jobs quickly if they're in my area because I know it's all about FFF and am worried that someone will get there before me but then I read the briefing notes properly or see the dates and times and realise that perhaps it's not particularly practical and need to release it!

Because I'm an idiot and didn't read the timings properly on a sandwich visit (this before 11.30 or after 2.30 thing) I've rescheduled the assignment for today. Problem is... why would I want a sandwich outside of those hours?! I suppose I could buy one on the way home from work, keep it in the fridge, and take it with me on my mystery shopping day out tomorrow!

I love how I do this... write a post with a question in it, and answer it myself. I could set up my own forum just for me! Doubt it'd have all the excitment of this one though!

Got my first job for GR as well today which is exciting. Fingers crossed!

And as far as releasing jobs goes... I think it does effect your shopper rating for most companies (I know with RE you lose two points) but in the grand scheme of things, I suppose that's not a great deal. Well, it is for me as I still only have 49 points! But I know some people on here have thousands of points so 2 points is neither here nor there!

I don't like to release jobs, but there are circumstances where you have to. I'm sure the companies understand this and would rather you release it in advance rather than complete an assignment in error or not at all.
