Support for Mortgage Interest - anyone?

do they automatically give it at 13 weeks or is it another case of filling
in lots and lots of forms and hoping they pay (preying they pay).
They already know my mortgage details and they have said i would
be entitled to help, i just wonder they seem so busy and unable to
deal with anything will they make my mortgage payments directly
after 13 weeks or will they backdate it
AND ARE THEY ON SCHEDULE or is it another fiasco ?
????
Thanks
Stan

How quickly your mortgage interest gets paid after the 13week qualifying period depends on factors such as how quickly your lender replies to requests the dwp may make to them concerning your mortgage.
Sometimes if there is a delay then interest payments will need to be backdated but if your lender knows that you are qualifying for interest payments from DWP then they will be used to initial payments being paid in arrears in most cases.
It's always best to keep in touch with your lender when claiming mortgage interest relief & keep them abreast of the situation. Also, if you continue to be unemployed/sick when there are interest rate rises, there could be the chance that the whole of your interest isn't being met, so you would then need to make up any shortfall yourself. Always best to keep in touch with the lender to avoid accruing such arrears. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
night night i won;t be back for a few weeks.
Thought you were going away for a few weeks stanley38 (or whatever name you are posting under today)?
I think you have a cheek to ask for advice after the way you spoke to people on her a few days ago. What was the word you used ... monkeys? :rolleyes:Gone ... or have I?0 -
OK DMG24...i'm sorry if i offended you and your friends.

thanks cattie,
i haven't told my lender....?
with all due respect to the J.Centre....they don't seem to tell me anything
or provide any information.
With all due respect " .... it feels like they don't want me to have a penny.
i will ask them shortly.....but considering the law states i am entitled to it
people at the J. Centre are very reluctant to actually provide the information..0 -
Have you & your lender completed and returned an MI12 form to the Benefit Delivery Centre ?0
