I use any of the following Bare Essentials Light or Extra Light Mineral Powder Foundation buffed for a while to even out skin tone and powder
Or Smashbox Halo in Fair as a finisher or light coverage
Or Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturiser Balm in Sand for the weekend just to even out v.lightly skin tone
Warm up with Warm Radiance from BE or Halo Glow from Smashbox or Bobbi Brown Simmer Brick Compact in Apricot or Bronze
Yes all are pricey and I have tons of the stuff to use up before reassessing what I will repurchase.
I am happy with all of the coverage and look non the less and they cost somewhere around the £12-25 markfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
At the moment I'm using a sample of Estee Lauder's Double Wear Light and I really like it. You don't need loads for good coverage, it feels really nice when it's on (I hate heavy make-up) and it doesn't need primer to make sure it sticks to my face even in 24 degree heat.
Before that I was on The Body Shop Nature's Minerals foundation, which was OK once I got the hang of it but for what it cost didn't last as long as I wanted (£14.65 or so a pot and I think I only had it about a month). I'm perfectly happy to pay for a good foundation but it has to last as I can't afford to be laying out that much every month.
I have a huuuge 'to try' list though, mainly because I still haven't found 'the one'...
I'm 21 and have super-pale combination/sensitive skin by the way."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
I am 49 and lucky enough to have pretty good skin so only wear foundation if going out somewhere nice. I love Laura Geller balance and brighten, and have got my DD age 19 on it too. It looks really natural but evens out any difference in skin colour. I then use either one of her blushers or the bronze and brighten in the summer.
I have always hated liquid foundations and was so pleased to find this fine powder one.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -
I've tried many different brands but have finally happily settled for max factor colour adapt in natural shade.I have been using a small tester tube I got with a gwp for the past 3 months now &I wear foundation everyday. It has great coverage as you can use less for a tinted moisturiser look or more for a made up look, the colour is great as it adapts to the skintone and it does last all day.I got another gwp with a small tube of it included by spending £15 at boots so now have enough for the year which I think is very reasonable-It's only £11.70.
I have also tried
lily lolo, rimmel, bourjois, lancome, estee lauder doublewear, clinique, maybelline liquid mineral &no7 stay perfect.No7 was ok until they changed the formula,I find it makes the face look a little grey now.Love can tame the wildest0 -
I buy Maybelline and friend buys from the USA for me when he goes over every few months if I need it. He treats me, but I think its about £5. I use Ivory but it lasts forever as I only use rarely.
I am a Clinique girl normally, but tried this about 3 yrs ago and have not looked back. Its light and perfect cover. My skin is pretty good and Im 34. I do follow a strict skin routine with the 3 step Clinique-once a day though, not twice and use a night cream for my anticipated wrinkles...lol

I'm 24 with very pale skin, which is sensitive and combination with oily tendencies!
I've never found a foundation which really works for me - they tend to 'sit' on my skin, never match my skin tone, and feel uncomfortable. At the moment I am using Rimmel 'Hide the Blemish' concealer stick in ivory, use a tiny bit of that on any blemishes, then I use The Body Shop mineral foundation in 001 over the top. This is the best I've used so far and it looks especially good after exfoliating and using plenty of moisturiser. I find that I don't need much of it but you REALLY need to buff it well to see the effect, otherwise you'd probably end up using heaps.
I used to use Mac studio fix which gave a really nice finish but I think it irritated my skin.0 -

Thanks showtunesgirl! That looks great. I checked the website and it says that you can return the product within 14 days if it's not the right shade but do you know if there's anywhere you can get samples from first? I will definitely give this a go once my Body Shop foundation runs out.0 -
Bobbie Brown stick foundation used to do it for me but i found it to be too thick looking. Nowadays i go for the tinted moisturizers since i don't have a lot of blemishes on my face. It looks more natural and makes me look more glowing. I dust off with a mineral foundation powder if i want to mute the shine though.0

I change about depending on how I want to look, My fav is Estee Lauder Double Wear, sometimes I wear it as it is other times I mix with primer before applying for a lighter look, I have recently discovered Maybelline dream satin liquid (I think its called that) for the days when I want a more dewy look and my fav mineral make up is Lily Lolo. I sometimes use Loreal whitening foundation (not available in this country) when I need extra help.
I am 40 with combo skin and a few wrinkles, open pores and an uneven skin tone. I still get spots although these are under control with freederm gel:T. I have pink toned skin but use yellow toned foundations to counteract this.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
