I had a clean "financial" break from my first husband 18 years ago when my DD was about 4.
It was hard, but at least he couldn't call the shots with money;)0 -

mrs E - it wasnt a clean financial break - he has tried to kill himself this evening - his reasons given are me and my persute of £s for our son.. i only wanted £20 pw to help with his sporting activities not the £55pw the csa had calculated and he was aware of this. I did use some abreviations on my original post that maybe shouldnt be used... but youngsters shouldnt know what they are.. i am now sat here planning if i have to/need to tell our son what his dad has done0

I'm saying a clean financial break can be the best thing.
If his £20 means he can have you sitting there feeling like you are is it worth it?
Don't let him blackmail you, those are his problems, not yours.0
