An installation company popped around today to give an estimate and said I could put it on a pole on the corner of the house so that the dish is just above the gutter line so it should be ok. He was a bit anti motorised set-ups though saying people of lots of problems with them and they are expensive to buy, install and set up. Could this be as he is an approved sky installer?0

My understanding is that the 1995 order does vary according to which area. I thought the 1995 order only applied to councils in the southern part of Britain (England and Wales) whereas in my posts I was referring to the northern part. (Scotland) Or have I misunderstood it?0

Installers, like shops, get a commission from Sky for selling subscriptions.0
