Excel Parking Fine Dyslexia Defence ?

Usual story; went shopping didn't know it was pay and display at first, someone then pointed out the sign which was high in the air in the region of where I parked.
Being dyslexic I took a while to read it, then had to go in side to get change, came out with a ticket in my hand, but the attendant had completed the paper note and said nothing he could now do. Again due to my dyslexia, I didn't read the fine print about only being able to appeal for up to 7 days and now have a letter demanding £100 as I have 'contravened Code 94' and a Parking Charge Notice was affixed to my windscreen (the bit of white paper handed to me).
Two questions; a) the ticket has 2 different reg numbers on; the top one is incorrect, but the bottom one is mine. The VED is correct though.
b) under the disability discrimination act, isn't there a requirement to make 'resonable adjustment'
Aside from the emotive and supportive comments, has anyuone any legal advise of how to refuse to pay using these grounds?
(I was observed, my paid ticket was 8 mins later, then thier ticket to me was 3 minutes after that)
Thanks, Jon

Dyslexia may mean that you have trouble reading, but it does not stop you seeing that a sign is there. Furthermore, was there anything to stop you from asking someone to read the PCN for you if you could not do so yourself, or did you just decide to ignore it?
Can you explain what reasonable adjustment you expect to made, and indeed how your condition comes under the DDA?
I have read some useless excuses, but yours is a classic!Gone ... or have I?0 -

Are you Excel on a trolling junket perchance?
jonnysumo - just ignore it. This is not a parking ticket and most certainly not a PCN.
What you have is just an unenforcable invoice. The claimed "appeals procces" is a total sham.
All they will do is get the keeper details from the DVLA and harrass them/you with a succession of ever more hysterical and threatening letters, from them first and then from fake debt collectors/solicitors. All meaningless.
Do not rise to them, or respond and eventually they will go away.
Just file the letters as evidence in the very, very, unlikely chance they do try further action - These firms invariably cross the line into full-on illegality at some point and that makes the invoice doubly unenforcable.0 -

Someone with over 14,000 posts being a troll? Lol....0 -
He talks like one - The "sign" and "PCN" are pretty meaningless and the OP certainly does not need any kind of excuse in dealing with a predatory PPC.0

I might have missed something. How do you determine that this parking ticket is from a private firm based on the post here? Because your advice wouldn't be too clever if this was a council operated car park, like the ones for the shopping centre in the town where I live.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Because the OP refers to "Code 94," and a "Parking Charge Notice," which are pretty standard, meaningless and criminal misrepresentations used by PPCs and mainly the firm "Excel Parking," who are well enough known here. Try a search.
However, if the OP wants to scan their ticket, remove the personal/identifying details and seek confirmation that it is a bit of toilet paper from the experts, I think they will be happy to oblige.0 -
fair enough, just checking. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0

If you had paid for a ticket, yet the warden ticketed you 3 mins later then surely you are covered anyway?
He simply "got" you whilst on your way back to the car0
