Need UK BT complaints dept tel no

Hi Ive been posting in the tech threads about my lack of internet access but am posting here for advice.
Basically I lost my BT broadband connection Monday - BT have in a nutshell been doing tests and had been saying it was my router, I have done all the checks and tried another router a BT hub but no luck.
Have had a tech engineer friend of a friend out last night he cant find the problem - says Its BT at fault. They then rang to say it was a fault on the line and they would send someone to sort it.
Today they ring and say Its ok now - needless to say no internet, when I ring them back they say the whole area code is down - yet our 2 phonelines are fine. I know other houses round here have no problems.
Ive reached the point of being very stressed/annoyed now - I cant get to talk to anyone other than the BT call centre.
Does anyone have any UK non call centre numbers I can try as what I want now is for an engineer to call here to set it up without the huge charge! I want to make a complaint and once our contracts up I think we need to look at leaving BT:mad: At the moment I cant see how we will get back on line and just cant face another 'going round in circles' conversation with the BT call centre!
Im online now via a pay as you go dongle which is far from ideal.
Many thanks
