Nah, it’s very easy to show I have lost out. I was able to take part in the scheme, now I’m not and it’s the third parties fault.

The question is what value (if any) should be attached to this loss.

I dismanted my car before it got taken away and got £2000 from the scrappage scheme. Yes it has 4 wheels, and an engine, but not much else

If you had read the thread you will see the OP has and had no intention of buying a new car. they just want 2k for a banger for no reason

Wait a minute, not quite relevant in this case since OP can't afford a new car. But OP has a car that has been deemed uneconomical to repair. Is it still driveable? If it is and say the light clusters are away at the back then it might be worth getting those repaired and maybe straighten out the body work a bit. Just a thought.
