I got my confirmation today, Im going to IOW in October.

I've never been on a Sun holiday before and am so confused. Is it worth upgrading to a better caravan and if I pay the linen charge, what do they provide?

Which park are you staying at? The linen will vary park to park but it is basically your bedding at Haven we had to collect our linen from the hire shop. We didn't upgrade our caravan with haven and it was a brand new one - luck of the draw I guess. If the park has a website check out the different grades and see what you would be happy with and if you're brave enough you could check it out on trip advisore too.

Still havent heard back about ours. A freind of ours who sent their application off at the same time heard back about a week ago.

Are there some people still waiting like me?

I'm at Thorness Bay. The only real differences between bronze and gold is no pets and heating in bedroom. Hoping the van isn't full of dog hair, I think I'll just take some extra blankets instead of paying £15 per person.

Trip advisor isn't too bad, suppose it could have been a lot worse.

Think I'll take my own bedding, a bottle of bleach and we should be fine

"You will receive your holiday confirmation by August 27th, 2009 or, if unsuccessful, your payment will be returned by that date. If you have not heard anything by this date please telephone our hotline on 0844 543 9777 (calls cost 5p per minute from a BT land line and may be monitored or recorded for staff training purposes)"

Ah. Still got a few weeks to go then.

Cheque hasnt been cashed yet. I've got a bad feeling though... :-(

I havent had any confirmation yet, I attempted to phone but the number doesnt work I suppose they only open the lines after the date mentioned.

yes,that's correct

Don't forget it's the actual site that sends the confirmation,not the SUN.

so you could try ringing round the sites you put down on the application ?

they may have details of your booking,even if they haven't sent out the paperwork yet

Hi Ive sent my tokens and cheque off 13th july, they cashed the cheque around 27th july, but i still haven't heard anything back, i know ive got till 27th aug to hear back, this is the first time ive done the sun holiday and hoping to get 4th sept, i thought i might of heard something by now..
