I got 31 Aug last night after about an hour going round all the haven and parkdean site in cornwall.
So decided to go for one of the smaller sites and got 31 Aug at Woolacombe Sands (102)
Woolacombe looks really nice village on tourist website and beach looks great.
Not sure on site only very small.
But only using it to sleep in so not really bothered

Has anyone been to that site or around Woolacombe, north Devon
Yes i have been to croyde - ruda the beaches and views are lovely you also have the nearby town in Barnstaple which is good.

You should have a lovely time.

Woolacombe beach is lovely, it is huge, great for sandcastles. There is a fantatstic fish and chip shop, I think it is called the woolacombe fryer but not sure, it is red fronted anyway.

Other nice things in the are: The Big sheep is not too far away, good if you have kids and you can use clubcard deals.

Saunton Sands beach is great, you can hire a beach hut for the day :D

Croyde bay is pretty, really good ice cream shop there too.

    That whole area is lovely.

Its just me and my wife going have no kids.

Any other places you would recommend :T

Have you tried the ruda site in croyde bay we stayed there back in may it was lovely all the caravans are top class, you have saunton sands, braunton, barnstaple and we visited port isaac when we were there it was outstanding. we were there with no kids too, we would certainly not hestiate in going back there
google this site as it was truly amazing and right on the beach good for surfing you can hire the equipment there.

We've stayed at Ruda too :D Love it there.

Ummm, things for grown ups, it is a tough one for us as we have six children so a different focus. There are lots of nice pubs and restaurants around, lundy island and boat trips, you could hire or take bikes and do the Tarka trail xx

I've not been able to get anything suitable this time around.... :( Ruda is a FAB place to go, just searched all avail dates and the only one I could get was 11th Sept for 3 nights, but that would be my DD's 2nd day at school, so would be too stressful!! Oh well x
