I had the bathroom ripped out & turned into a shower room when I moved here as the bathroom was quite small. I had one or two people say to me I'd be limiting my market if I wished to sell in the future, but the fact is I've never taken a bath in at least 6 yrs & prefer showering. As I get older it will always be easy to step in & out of a shower, which can't be said for a bath if I'd elected for a shower fitting over a bath instead.

I don't regret my decision, I love my new shower room & if ever I did want to sell at some time in the future I'd explain to potential buyers, if they mentioned they prefered a proper bathroom rather than shower room, that it was originally a bathroom & could easily be made into one again if they prefered.

More & more people are choosing to shower rather than bathe & I don't think having a shower in place of a bath is the obstical it may once had been in the past. For me it would be a big plus if I were viewing such a property.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

We ripped out our bath and put in a shower. Though our rooms are quite big, our bathroom is tiny! When my boyfriend wanted to shave, he'd have to stand half in the bath!

We bought all the materials and got plumber do fit it, along with a new toilet, basin, flooring and cladding. Everything came from eBay shops and we saved a bundle - over £400

Even though it was over 4 years ago, we're still not finished!
