I cant believe the nerve of some people to come on here, and state they have had a service and that they now dont want to pay it back.
Well pet, I dont want to come to work every day but I have to to pay the bills!
How you could have missed them not charging you extra when your child was in Nursery an extra day is beyond me.Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

You have signed a contract with them. They have provided a service to you which you have used. You owe them the money. It's a childish excuse to say they made the mistake so I shouldn't pay the money back. Mistakes happen but regardless of whose fault it is they have provided the childcare and you are liable to pay for it.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

My daughter lost her well loved job when a local nursery closed down, one of the reasons given was outstanding fees that hadnt been paid by parents.
You've had the service so PAY UP - peoples jobs may depend on it!!0 -
i dont want to pay it back and in my line of work i would not expect it back for an error on my part
i did not notice as i do not look which is my error as i have said they have overcharged me twice by a couple of hundred pounds that i have actually noticed.........
So why did you want/get this couple of hundred pounds back Twice and not say fine, mistakes happen dont pay me it back0 -

Thanks......
why should i not have the nerve ? This is a forum for discussion ? I am discussing ??
I said i did not notice and that is the case my bill had been increased due to his age and nursery costs...it all happenend at the same time.
It was a member of staff who suggested i should not pay it back !
Now nearly paid it off just a hundred to go as i feel better seeing the latest published ofsted letter stating they are putting all in at improving their complete failure on every level with every area looked at:rolleyes:0 -
You should pay it back, regardless of what was going on in your life i find it hard to believe that in the 1st week he was there an extra day you didnt think i owe you an extra day. You were quite happy to keep quiet as long as you were being under charged, but now it has caught up with you you are finding any excuse not to pay up.
When i was a childminder all childminders and nurseries had a ''black list'' where we all knew who the bad paying parents were as they seemed to go round every nursey, childminder etc running up bills, bailing out and starting on the next one. SO we started to know not to take these children on.
My son's pr-school was on the verge of closing as several parents never paid ther fee's of £2 a session and some staff had to be laid off to cover this loss. It's your child who is suffering through you not paying, if he's not happy maybe its because they cant afford extra staff or activities because people like you wont pay for a service they have recieved.
The nursery were quite nice to let you pay it back as and when you could, most places wouldnt allow you to do that, so you should consider yourself lucky. They have been quite understanding of the situation as well as taking some responsibility for not spotting the mistake earlier. Now i think its time you did the same.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
I think, morally and legally, you need to pay the outstanding money; if I were you I would try and negotiate a repayment plan with the nursery if paying out the £700 in one lump sum is going to be a huge struggle, I'm sure they will be accommodating if they know they're going to get the money back.
And like the others have said, be sure to check your bank statements in future....0
