I always find it amazing people actually queue up at ungodly hours to spend money in Next. They are not doing this out of the goodness of their hearts - it's a fantastic marketing ploy and gets people spending like there's no tomorrow.
Whenever I have been dragged in I have noticed that it does seem to be well below the quality of the stuff they usually have in and is clearly brought in special. This is of course soon followed by a cold sweat as I realise I must get out of the dreadful, overcrowded sale shop to the safety of the high street.
Possibly, but look the codes list, it's all things from their current catalogue and xmas book..... not old stuff.....0 -
Thats what I mean Babybimbles - most of its on the website, hence you see something you like then search for the code in PDF file to see if its in the sale.Tin can banky - 3/4 full £1 and £2, Quidco January £19.49, Boots points 2543, Tesco Club Card 2763, Piggy Points 8400

[quoteI've heard managers get 60% off normal price all the time - is that true ][/quote]
No it's not and to be quite honest after seeing most of evryday for the last six months, you don't really want any of it. I mainly use te sale for socks and pants.7 packs of socks for 2.99.0 -
Tried to open a Next account online but it wouldn't let me but said I could apply by post (presumably too late for the sale) and they want to charge £3.50. Do you have to have an account to shop in store or is this just for the phone lines?
Tried to look at information about certain goods on line but firstly it is really difficult to find the relevant item but even then it gives limited details and finally some items eg digital camera are already out of stock.
Think this might be a lot of hassle over very little? Might pop down to my local store (sometime after 5am) to have a look but don't hold out too much hope.0 -
Good quality gear normally0

I opened a Next account yesterday over the phone (max limit is £300 for new customers) and opted not to be sent the catalogue, so saving the £3.50 charge. They are sending me my account details in the post - all you need is the account number that they won't give you over the phone, they have to post it. Maybe there's time?0

Just a note in case some people aren't aware, a lot of next stuff appears in a store called Choice discount. http://www.choice-discount.co.uk/
They usually a season or two behind and items might have slight damage etc (always indicated on label) and they also have much better value for money. see there website for local stores. They also have sales and their stuff is much cheaper and its still next quality.. so pretty good all round!
Also its different to the Next clearance store in thurrock which i found to be more expensive but they did have more variety.ummm...0 -
Is the stuff in the PDF only available over the phone or is it a good guide to whats going to be available in store?
Oh and why when you download the PDF does is have the sale as 24th July?Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
