Xbox idiots! Indian call centre extremely rude!

    ive had my xbox repaired twice, 1st time was a replacement box, 2nd time they replaced motherboard. both times i spoke to english people so i am quite lucky. never had a receipt but the 3 year warranty is now up.
    Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
    current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
    Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)

    new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,000

    They had to replace the drive at the same time as the board as they are matched, hence why they sent one with a new drive.

    When I had a problem with my 360 I sorted it all online, maybe worth a try if you arn't getting anywhere on the phone.

    Had mine replaced once and repaired twice in 3 years.

    Seems pretty awful that it's needed so much attention - once a year on averafe.

    I would honestly recommend a PS3 before an XBOX 360 based on reliability.

    Microsoft themselves have more or less admitted that there are serious 'keeping cool' issues with the xbox - in other words, they're admitting that it is a flawed design.

    However, in their defence, the repair process took one week, door to door.

    The newer models aren't suffering to bad, there not immune but not having to many problems.

    As for the PS3:

    £300 or £130 and it might not work for 2 weeks.

    With that gaming is now ruled by buying a reasonable spec PC.
