Too much equity, not enough debt. Why not give some of your cash to the guys&girls frequenting this forum and trying to buy their first home? ;)

Was thinking of going back in but would want it to be local and yields (max 6%) are just too low :( Next town has a 'uni' and cheap housing with better yields but I don't fancy the hassle.
    I think....

bought 3 times in the last 10 months, 2 BTL's and a residential - will buy again once i see another good opportunity

and i'm not a bull - i'm an optimist who sees opportunity or someone who needs to sell ;)

Chucky: I've managed to get some tables on the sun deck.
StevieJ: Nice one Chucky. With the lower decks being flooded makes it an ideal time to snap up some bargains.
Chucky: Your not wrong there bro. Bought 3 times in the last 10 minutes, 2 to let out and one for myself - will buy again once i see another good opportunity.
StevieJ: Ha ha ha, those doomster muppets don't realise that when the Titanic sinks a bit, it always comes back up again. The housing market is unsinkable. Chucky: High five StevieJ

Locally there's no value in investing in residential property. Yields are far too low. So house prices need to fall further to achieve over a 10% gross yield.

Too many opportunities elsewhere at the moment. Bank shares seem more attractive by the day as they increase their interest rates to borrowers!

That castle in Skipton would make a nice investment property, could do that up nice icon7.gif Should be able to afford it soon according to Macaque and Brit.

Yes I think I should have waited a little longer, next year it would have been able to put a cheeky offer in and they would have snapped my hand off.

a couple of reasons - due to there was more to choose from when i bought and it was also in the last tax year.

this tax year i've been looking again but haven't seen anything of quality or even value.
i've got a few on my list but they're not at the right price. i'm in no rush to buy and will wait to see. close to the bottom is less important to me - getting something at the right price is the driver for me.

They obviously don't understand that significant point Chucky, I am quite interested to buy but only at the right price, the right property and in the specific area that I have targeted. There has been a few houses come up in the area but all had a 3rd single bedroom and I won't touch properties with single bedrooms because my tenant market is young sharing professionals who shun single bedrooms
