So houses are too expensive then?

    Is that what you're saying?

for many people yes and it depends for what you want them for - i think there are cheap ones and expensive ones, there are also affordable ones.
it all depends where you want to live and what you're looking for.

But surely if it's such a sure-fire one-way bet, they should be buying more.

Bad enough having one house to look after without having moreicon7.gif Can you imagine having some of you lot on the phone every five minutes telling me a washer needs replacing  No thanks.

I would not buy at the moment, you would get a better return putting your money is some carefully selected stocks!

I dont think buying now is about being bullish, I must admnit to some furtive rightmove browsing, but nothing is cheap enough where wed like to buy. I think im looking forward to more distressed sellers coming to the market once taxes start rising, so I think there will be a lot of stuff being dumped on the market then. When IRs went down, so did the choice, as there were plenty able to sit tight where we are looking in London. For sale boards literally vanished. I remember driving through part of Norbury and croydon to see every 5th prioperty for sale not so long ago. Its not the same now.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Probably worth just holding fire for the moment with that one, see which way it goes.
