I opened an Abbey ISA 2 weeks ago intending to transfer my previous year's money into it. All I have received so far is a PIN to use with my new bank card!? Not sure what's happening but I'm not impressed with them.

The Barclays 3% fixed rate bond seems quite interesting!
Not really, as there are a number of FRISAs out there which offer 3% or more on the sort of ISA balance that you have and accept ISA transfers:

    Kent Reliance Building Society 3.2%
    Julian Hodge Bank 3.15%
    LloydsTSB 3%

<Edit> Even the top 'bond' shown in the Mail article (Chelsea BS @ 3.7%) only equates to 2.96% nett after 20% tax, while the Barclays @ 3% equates to 2.4% nett

Note that that's a variable rate - only the twelve month 1% bonus is unconditional.

Many thanks, Baldur. Yes, I see that I will be playing musical ISAs next year. My wife might put her fund into a higher rate fixed account...but we need to repai a conservatory that is literally falling apart!
